Abstract: A method for configuring a task process of a work flow engine includes (a) providing a plurality of tasks selectable via a user interface of a task configurator, each task being an execution type or an action type task and (b) receiving a first selection of a first one or more tasks of the plurality of tasks corresponding to the execution type. The method further includes (c) receiving a second selection of a second one or more tasks corresponding to the action type, (d) receiving a selection of one or more paths between the first one or more tasks and the second one or more tasks, and (e) assembling the first one or more tasks and the second one or more tasks into a task process comprising an execution sequence of the first one or more tasks and the second one or more tasks.
