Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and a method for a distributed processing of a radio frequency identification (RFID) middleware. An apparatus for a distributed processing of a RFID middleware includes a user/manager interface for inputting an event; a web application processor for displaying and managing a content corresponding to the event submitted from the user/manager interface; a load information processor for selecting an optimal one of distributed middleware servers according to scheduling of the web application processor; and a server process manager for managing each of the distributed middleware servers in a cluster by interworking with the user/manager interface. According to the embodiments, it is possible to continuously cope with the extension of the system and the infra, and the system can be stably maintained. Thus, considerable economic benefits can be achieved.

Abstract: Provided is a system for dynamically managing various heterogeneous RFID/sensor devices based on a configuration collection required at a RFID/USN middleware for providing a ubiquitous service. In an embodiment, a system for managing a heterogeneous RFID/sensor device includes a control manager for generally managing a main function of a middleware; a configuration manager for reading a configuration information of the middleware and executing each of modules; a queue manager for managing a queue where an input data is stored; a database manager for managing a database; a utility manager for managing a utility necessary to a function of the each of the modules; a reporter manger for sending a data result processed by the middleware; and a driver manager for managing a driver by interworking with a middleware-managing tool. According to the embodiment, various RFID/sensors can be connected, and the cost can be reduced.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dynamic process management system for processing data in various environments. The dynamic process management system includes an interface unit for receiving a specific command from a user, a process-based management unit for mapping relevant processes to memory using information about the processes in compliance with the command received through the interface unit, and a code-based unit for storing classes related to the process information. Accordingly, the present invention is advantageous in that only the data desired by the user can be acquired using user-defined processes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an ontology-based Electronic Product Code (EPC) automatic conversion method and system. The ontology-based EPC automatic conversion method includes the steps of arranging existing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) EPC ontology information and newly added EPC ontology information, converting tag data collected from an RFID reader into binary data so as to perform header information extraction and Uniform Resource Name (URN) conversion, extracting the header information of an EPC from the binary data output as a result of the conversion, initializing the ontology properties so as to utilize the EPC ontology, extracting a corresponding code system of the ontology by performing comparison with the header information of the tag data converted into the binary data, extracting the ontology properties from the corresponding code system of the ontology, and performing automatic conversion into URN-type data on the basis of information about the extracted ontology properties.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) middleware-based sensor data stream processing system and method. The RFID middleware-based sensor data stream processing system of the present invention includes one or more sensors for measuring and collecting surrounding environmental information, sensor nodes for transmitting data collected by the sensors or receiving sensor management commands, a master node for transmitting or receiving data to or from the sensor nodes and for configuring the data received from the one or more sensors into data having a specific protocol structure applied in common to the sensors, and RFID middleware for receiving the sensor data from the master node, converting the sensor data into data of an Electronic Product Code (EPC), and converting the EPC data into data of a Uniform Resource Name (URN) code.
