Abstract: A furniture component has a central member, a pair of sides of each defined by a chord of a circle, a first element affixed to the top of the central member, and a second element affixed to the bottom of the central member. The pair of segments are respectively affixed to the sides of the central member. The central member, the pair of segments and the first and second elements are formed of a wooden material. The central member has a generally square configuration. The central member is entirely surrounded by the pair of segments and the first and second elements. Each of the pair of segments in each of the first and second elements having a planar side affixed to the central member and a curved surface opposite to the planar surface.
