    Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods for safely capturing a moving vehicle are disclosed. The method includes biasing a portion of a loop of cable against the rear portion of one or more tires of a target vehicle, such that the cable is carried over the tire and engages the rear axle, or another portion, of the target vehicle. The loop of cable can be connected to a stationary or mobile structure that can then provide a force to the cable to safely slow down and stop the target vehicle.
