    Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic door system having a security sensor device and to a method for using said system, in which a controller is connected to a security sensor, the sensor device comprising: a signal emitter for detecting at least one parameter representative of the door; and a receptor of the signal generated by the generator; wherein the controller activates at least the emitter by means of a triggering signal, said triggering signal being a signal independent of the signal to be emitted by the emitter.
