Patent number: 4868382Abstract: A material sensing switch comprising a body having an open first end and a second end closed by a wall member. A flange extends outwardly from the body at the first end thereof for securing the body to a supporting structure. A backing plate removably closes the first end to define an interior body compartment between the backing plate and the inner surface of the wall member. A fiber optic switch is positioned within the body compartment and has a plunger extending therefrom so that the outer end thereof is positioned outwardly of the outer surface of the wall member. A pressure plate is removably mounted on the second end of the body at the outer surface of the wall member and is adapted to engage the switch plunger to actuate the fiber optic switch upon movement of the pressure plate relative to the plunger. A flexible member is removably secured to the body at the second end thereof and covers the pressure plate. A ring member secures the flexible member to the body.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1988Date of Patent: September 19, 1989Assignee: Jenoff IncorporatedInventor: Brent D. Herbert

Patent number: 4308517Abstract: A heat sensing apparatus for a member requiring heat monitoring such as bearings, etc. is described. A heat conductive plate is secured to the lower end of a hollow cartridge and closes the open bottom of the cartridge. A heat sensing device is mounted on the heat conductive plate within the cartridge and has a pair of electrical wires secured thereto which extend outwardly through one end of the cartridge. A bushing is secured to one end of the bushing and has a nipple threadably mounted thereon. One end of a flexible conduit has a nut mounted thereon which is threadably secured to the nipple to provide a rodent and dust proof connection between the flexible conduit and the bushing mounted on the cartridge. An epoxy material is contained within the cartridge and at least a portion of the bushing to seal the interior of the cartridge and to protect the heat sensing device.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1980Date of Patent: December 29, 1981Assignee: Jenoff, IncorporatedInventor: Reuben E. Patent number: 4045761Abstract: A mounting bracket for a heat detector switch which not only provides a convenient means for mounting the switch on a bearing or motor but which also prevents the heat detector switch from being damaged while thereon. The bracket comprises a flat plate having a hollow tubular member mounted on the top surface of the plate member at one end thereof. A heat detector switch is mounted on the top surface of the plate adjacent the other end thereof and is electrically connected to an electrical wire which extends through the tubular member. A protective shield extends over the heat detector switch. The interior of the tubular member and the protective member are filled with a silicone rubber material. The heat detector switch is activated upon the motor or bearing reaching a predetermined temperature to activate a signal device electrically connected to the electrical wire in the tubular member.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1976Date of Patent: August 30, 1977Assignee: Jenoff, IncorporatedInventor: Reuben E. Patent number: 4044209Abstract: A material switch comprising a body having an open first end and a second end closed by a wall member. A flange extends outwardly from the body at the first end thereof for securing the body to a supporting structure. A backing plate removably closes the first end to define an interior body compartment between the backing plate and the inner surface of the wall member. A micro-switch is positioned within the body compartment and has a plunger extending therefrom so that the outer end thereof is positioned outwardly of the outer surface of the wall member. A pressure plate is removably mounted on the second end of the body at the outer surface of the wall member and is adapted to engage the switch plunger to actuate the switch upon movement of the pressure plate relative to the plunger. A flexible member is removably secured to the body at the second end thereof and covers the pressure plate. A ring member secures the flexible member to the body.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1976Date of Patent: August 23, 1977Assignee: Jenoff, IncorporatedInventor: Reuben E. Peterson
