    Abstract: A fastening device of the type used to secure a plurality of like or unlike materials together comprising an integral thermoplastic body having opposing cross bar like ends connected by an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion is provided with a weakened portion so that when opposing human gripping forces are applied to the cross bar like ends, the intermediate portion readily breaks thereby releasing the materials without harming them.
