Patents Assigned to Jerry Iggulden
  • Patent number: 5729222
Abstract: A user configurable control device is particularly suitable for household devices such as remote control transmitters. A variety of function control elements in the form of keys are provided to the consumer who selects a desired set of the control elements. Each of the control elements has a unique pattern of projections molded into the bottom surface. These projections are in operative alignment with an array of membrane switches disposed on a switching substrate within the control device. The control device includes a front panel that is perforated with a pattern of slots. Each of the control elements has a pair of projecting tabs that look the element onto the control panel so that it is securely retained thereon, but may be released if desired. The projections on the bottom of the element extend through the slots in the front panel to the switching substrate below.

  • Patent number: 5023931
Abstract: A wireless local television transmission system with related methods, apparatus, and components. There is a source of a video signal to be viewed at a remote location such as a TV camera, cable select box, antenna, or VCR. An up converter is connected to the source for shifting the video signal to a frequency above the normal television bands. A transmitter is connected to the up converter for transmitting the video signal at the shifted frequency. A receiver is disposed at the remote location for receiving the transmitted video signal. A down converter is connected to the receiver for shifting the video signal back down to a frequency within the normal television bands and identified with a known channel. Finally, conventional television set functions are connected to the down converter for processing and displaying the video signal on the known channel.

  • Patent number: 4852802
Abstract: An improved automated irrigation system having localized moisture needs input to the control function. There is a sprinkler head connected to a supply of water under pressure by a pipe having a valve therein. A moisture sensing probe is placed in the soil adjacent the sprinkler head for developing an electrical signal representing the moisture content of the soil surrounding the probe. There is irrigation bypass logic disposed at the probe and operably connected to the valve and the probe for comparing the moisture content of the soil surrounding the probe to pre-established limits and for preventing the valve from supplying water to the sprinkler head when there is sufficient moisture in the soil. A timer controller can be employed to provide operating power to the system only at preferred times for watering. The moisture parameters for watering are adjustable. There is a wirelessly connected version eliminating wires between the probes and the valves.
