Abstract: Methods for removing heavy metals from a phosphoric acid solution produced in a wet process for manufacturing phosphoric acid, comprising treating the wet-process phosphoric acid solution with a small amount of a solid adsorbing material and a complex reagent to form a heavy metal complex-contaminated solid adsorbing material, and removing the contaminated solid adsorbing material to yield a treated phosphoric acid solution having a low heavy metal content.
Abstract: Methods for removing cadmium (Cd) from a phosphoric acid solution produced in a wet process for manufacturing phosphoric acid, comprising treating the wet-process phosphoric acid solution with a small amount of a solid adsorbing material and a complex reagent to form a cadmium complex-contaminated solid adsorbing material, and removing the contaminated solid adsorbing material to yield a treated phosphoric acid solution having a low Cd content.
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for producing a calcium phosphate salt comprising reacting fluorosilicic acid (FSA) with water and a calcium phosphate source to produce phosphoric acid, calcium fluoride, and silicon dioxide; removing residual solids; performing a first stage precipitation wherein the phosphoric acid generated previously is reacted with a calcium source and water to remove residual fluoride; and performing a second stage precipitation wherein the phosphoric acid generated previously is reacted with a calcium source and water to isolate the product calcium phosphate salt, having a low level of impurities.
