Abstract: The present invention generally relates to bed structures having an inflatable and/or collapsible/deflatable component. More particularly, it relates to bed construction configurations that can include multiple adaptations for enhanced safety in situations of rapid loss of aircraft cabin pressure to meet airflow requirements for emergency decompression events as well as to provide overall better airflow for in-cabin air filtration systems. The bed configurations can include cross-welded structures and bowing-prevention stabilizers to control bulging of the bed when inflated.
