Abstract: Provided is a wound core having a flat portion and corner portions adjacent to the flat portion, the flat portion including a lap portion, the corner portions including bent portions. A non-heat-resistant magnetic domain refined material is used for at least a part of the materials forming the wound core. Closure domains are formed in the non-heat-resistant magnetic domain refined material so as to extend in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the non-heat-resistant magnetic domain refined material, an area of each of the closure domains in a cross section that is taken in the longitudinal direction being more than 7500 ?m2. In the lap portion, the ratio of the number of lap joint portions having a lap length of from 3.0 mm to 30 mm to the total number of lap joint portions is 50% or more.
Abstract: A device for determining sound source direction includes an array sensor including a plurality of microphones that measures a sound wave, and a processor for calculating a sound pressure in each direction based on sound pressure information of the sound wave obtained by the array sensor and for determining a direction in which the sound pressure is maximum as a direction of sound wave arrival. The plurality of microphones is provided at vertices of two or more concyclic polygons that are on a same plane and that have a same center and are arranged so as to be non-rotationally symmetric as a whole array sensor.
Abstract: A hot-pressed member, a steel sheet for hot pressing, and methods for producing the hot-pressed member and the steel sheet for hot pressing. The hot-pressed member includes a steel sheet and a Zn-based alloy coated layer disposed on at least one surface of the steel sheet. The Zn-based alloy coated layer includes a solid solution phase including Zn with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, an intermetallic compound phase including Fe with the balance being Zn and incidental impurities, and an oxide layer including Zn. The oxide layer serves as an uppermost layer of the Zn-based alloy coated layer and splits the intermetallic compound phase. The split density in at least one cross-section of the oxide layer per unit cross-section is 10 split positions/mm or more.
Abstract: A construction method of an abnormality diagnosis model of a process for sequentially treating a metal material in a plurality of facilities, the construction method includes: creating a first abnormality diagnosis model that learns a relationship between measured values at a same time and an abnormality by using the measured values measured at the same time in a predetermined measurement cycle determined in advance for the plurality of facilities; and creating a second abnormality diagnosis model that learns a relationship between measured values at a same position and an abnormality by using the measured values at the same position of the metal material obtained by compiling the measured values measured in the plurality of facilities for each position of the metal material.
Abstract: A meandering control method for steel strip includes: an imaging step of imaging the surface of a traveling steel strip using a line sensor camera installed between adjacent rolling mills; a meandering amount calculation step of calculating the meandering amount of the steel strip by detecting the positions of both end portions in the width direction of the steel strip from a one-dimensional brightness distribution based on the captured image; and a leveling control arithmetic operation step of arithmetically operating a roll opening difference between the operation and drive sides of the rolling mill located on the immediately downstream side of the line sensor camera based on the calculated meandering amount. The imaging is performed in a period of 5 msec or less.

Abstract: A high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet comprises: a chemical composition that contains C, Si, Mn, P, S, N, Al, Ti, Nb, and B with a balance consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities, and satisfies [mol % N]/[mol % Ti]<1; and a steel microstructure in which: an area fraction of ferrite is 12% or more and less than 30%; a total area fraction of tempered martensite and bainite is 55% or more and 85% or less; an area fraction of quenched martensite is 15% or less; an area fraction of retained austenite is 1% or more and 10% or less; an area fraction of low-Mn ferrite having a Mn concentration of 0.8×[% Mn] or less is 5% or more and 20% or less; a result of subtracting the area fraction of the low-Mn ferrite from the area fraction of the ferrite is 10% or more; an area fraction of a residual microstructure is less than 3%; and an average grain size of the low-Mn ferrite is 10 ?m or less.
Abstract: The method for manufacturing a high-manganese steel cast slab according to the present invention includes manufacturing a cast slab by continuously casting a molten high-manganese steel having a specific chemical composition. In the manufacture, in a continuous-casting machine or during transportation before subsequent charging into a heating furnace for hot rolling, a processing strain is applied to the cast slab having a surface temperature of 600° C. or higher and 1100° C. or lower in such an amount that a processing strain amount calculated by a certain formula is 3.0% or more and 10.0% or less.
Abstract: An apparatus line for manufacturing seamless steel pipes and tubes includes: a heating apparatus for heating a steel raw material; a piercing apparatus for piercing the heated steel raw material thus forming a hollow material; and a rolling apparatus for applying working to the hollow material to form a seamless steel pipe having a predetermined shape. A cooling apparatus is arranged on an exit side of the rolling apparatus. A heated steel raw material is worked by the rolling apparatus after being pierced by the piercing apparatus, and thereafter, using a surface temperature of a hollow piece before being cooled by the cooling apparatus as a cooling start temperature, the hollow piece is cooled to a cooling stop temperature differing by 50° C. or more from the cooling start temperature and being equal to or above 600° C. at an average cooling speed of 1.0° C./s or more in terms of an outer surface temperature.

Abstract: A surface temperature measuring method includes: acquiring a radiation light amount of a surface of a measurement object; irradiating the surface of the measurement object with light under a specular reflection condition to acquire a specular reflection light amount; irradiating the surface of the measurement object with light under a diffuse reflection condition to acquire a diffuse reflection light amount; calculating an emissivity of the surface of the measurement object by using a model indicating a relationship between an emissivity and a specular reflectance, and a relationship between the emissivity and a diffuse reflectance of the surface of the measurement object, the acquired specular reflection light amount, and the acquired diffuse reflection light amount; and calculating a surface temperature of the measurement object using the acquired radiation light amount and the calculated emissivity.
