  • Patent number: 9163635
Abstract: An electric water pump includes a housing, a propelling mechanism disposed in the housing, and a driving mechanism for driving a driving shaft of the propelling mechanism. The driving shaft has a fluid passage in fluid communication with an impeller chamber and a cooling chamber in the housing. The propelling mechanism further includes a spiral rod disposed in the fluid passage and co-rotatable with the driving shaft, and an impeller disposed in the impeller chamber. During operation of the propelling mechanism, the impeller drives flow of a fluid, and the spiral rod co-rotates with the driving shaft to change the rate of the fluid flowing through the driving shaft.

  • Publication number: 20110110801
Abstract: A fluid pump for delivering cooled working fluid in an engine cooling system includes a housing unit defining front and rear chambers, an inlet disposed upstream of a central region of the front chamber, an outlet disposed downstream of a surrounding region of the front chamber, a canister member dividing the rear chamber into stator- and rotor-side spaces for receiving a stator and a rotor, respectively, a hollow shaft which is rotated with the rotor to turn an impeller in the central region and which defines a passage, and an auxiliary conduit communicated with the inlet and the rear chamber so as to divert part of the working fluid to flow through the internal duct and the passage, thereby diffusing heat generated within the housing unit.

  • Patent number: 7857606
Abstract: A variable displacement pump includes a pump body defining first and second pools for introducing fuel/lubricant oil, and internal and external rotary members rotatably mounted on the pump body and cooperatively defining a space such that, during counterclockwise revolution, the fuel/lubricant oil is taken up from the first pool by sweeping of the space over the first pool, and is delivered to the second pool. A control slider is sleeved on the external rotary member, and has an actuated tooth moved by an expansion force in the second pool to counteract the external rotary member so as to reduce the volume of the space, thereby reducing delivery of the fuel/lubricant oil into the second pool. A biasing member is disposed to bias the actuated tooth towards the second pool.

  • Patent number: 7237519
Abstract: A rocker arm is adapted for use with an engine including a push rod, a valve unit and a pivot ball disposed on a supporting frame. The rocker arm is connected pivotally to the supporting frame, and includes a main plate having a central opening defined by an upper edge, a horizontal lower edge disposed under the upper edge, and two curved lateral edges interconnecting the upper and lower edges. The lower edge has an intermediate portion formed with an outwardly flared recess that defines an upwardly facing socket engaging the pivot ball. A first arm plate is connected integrally to a lateral side of the main plate and is driven by the push rod. A second arm plate is connected integrally to an opposite lateral side of the main plate and operates the valve unit.

  • Publication number: 20050279411
Abstract: A relief valve for a hydraulic pump includes a valve housing defining an inlet and first and second valve openings, an urging member mounted in the valve housing, a first valve piece adapted to close the first opening, defining a fluid channel therein, and movable against urging action of the urging member to a relief position to permit fluid communication between the inlet and the first valve opening, and a second valve piece for closing and opening the fluid channel. The second valve piece is movable away from the first valve piece to permit fluid communication between the fluid channel and the second valve opening when the pressure in the hydraulic pump exceeds a predetermined value under a state where the first valve piece is stuck during movement to the relief position.
