Abstract: A tent pole base bracket (10) having at its outer end (18) a termination hook (24) for receiving attachment of common tent options like canopies, tarpaulins, and rain flies. The preferred form of the bracket (10) has a pass through slot (30) located at its inner end (20) for accepting a web strap from a tent wall, which may be permanently or temporarily attached to the bracket (10). Roughly central to the bracket (10) a pole orifice (34) is provided for receiving the end of a tent pole. The bracket (10) may have a base curved shape (38) to permit it to rock into a position that optimally handles stresses received concurrently from tent wall fabric, a tent pole, and an attached canopy. Further, the bracket (10) may be constructed so that a defined pole axis (40) and a defined hook axis (42) may be substantially parallel in use of the bracket (10).

Abstract: A system for transporting, storing and displaying consumer products (10) includes a shipping container (40) having a plurality of sides (42), of which at least one of the plurality of sides is a detachable display panel (32). The shipping container (40) is sized to hold one or more consumer items (44). A flexible display and carrying bag (12) has at least one transparent display pouch (30) which is configured to hold the display panel (32). The display bag (12) further includes a resealable opener (22), such as a zipper which can be opened to allow insertion of the shipping container (40) with the display panel (32) removed into the display bag (12) to provide internal structural support to the display bag (12). The display bag (12) can then be easily stacked for storage or displayed on a retail store's selling floor, thus providing easily visible display information (34) and providing protection for the display panel (32) from in-store handling, as well as consumer access to the product (44) for inspection.

Abstract: A cabin tent pole system (10) using side poles (14), gable poles (16), corner hubs (18), and roof hubs (20). The corner hubs (18) have two tubular members (50) which join forming a first obtuse angle (32), where a structural web (56) may be provided to help maintain the first obtuse angle (32) and strengthen the corner hub (18). Similarly the roof hubs (20) have tubular members (60) which form second obtuse angles (34) between any pair of the tubular members (60). The roof hubs (20) may include a series of webs (66) which act to maintain the angular relationships of the tubular members (60), including the second obtuse angles (34). Only larger embodiments of the tent pole system (10) require the use of ridge poles (40).

The tent fabric attachment mechanism (18) includes capability for adjusting tension and taking up slack in straps (26) attached to tent fabric (28). If desired, the bracket (10) 7 may be permanently attached to tent straps to prevent misplacement and loss. Options of the bracket (10) include a tent option attachment mechanism (34), for attaching common tent options like canopies and rain flies, and shaping and structurally enhancing the region (40) around the tent pole orifice (16) to better accept stresses transferred by an assembled tent into the bracket (10).
