Abstract: Described is a device for irradiating a body with actinic radiation. The device comprises one or more elements allowing the person to stand, sit or lie in a position allowing said actinic radiation to impinge on at least a part of the body; one or more elements allowing control of the intensity, irradiance, dose, and/or time of irradiation of said actinic radiation; and one or more elements comprising at least one source of radiation that emits radiation of at least two different wavelengths, at least one of the wavelengths being in the visible range.
Abstract: An apparatus for irradiating the human body or parts of the human body with ultraviolet radiation. The apparatus comprises an arrangement, which allows irradiation of the human body with ultraviolet irradiation in a recumbent, standing, sitting or crouching position, one or more arrangement(s) of radiation sources emitting ultraviolet radiation directed onto a human body in the intended position; devices for positioning the human body to be irradiated in a UV radiation-receiving relationship to the radiation sources; one or more devices for safeguarding the spectral distribution of ultraviolet radiation emitted by UV radiation sources; and devices for electrical or electronic control of the one or more arrangement(s) of radiation sources emitting ultraviolet radiation in the direction of the human body as a function of the data obtained in the one or more above device(s).
