Abstract: A carrier plate and related method for an automatic transmission is provided, whereby the carrier plate has a ring gear (1) connected to a driving plate (2) by means of welding and has at least one thickening plate (4, 5) connected to the driving plate (2) by means of welding. Preferably the ring gear (1) is connected to the driving plate (2) means of beam welding using auxiliary material.

Abstract: In a differential cage for a differential gear, including a cage member with a cavity which is machined on the inside and has an installation opening for compensating gears and driving gears, and further including an axle drive gear which is connected integrally with the cage member. The cage member has two bores to support a respective drive shaft. One of the bores has a greater diameter than the other one and is dimensioned so as to be great enough for the introduction of a machining tool into the cavity. Provision is made for a bearing sleeve serving to support the associated drive shaft which is to be threaded into and press fitted in the bore which has the greater diameter.
