  • Patent number: 7496440
Abstract: Apparatus and method for changing one or several dimensions of a load space in a working machine, when the dimensions are width, height or length. In the method the weight of the load in the load space is determined or the weight of the load in a full load space is predicted on the basis of said determination and the current value of the dimension; a new value is calculated for the dimension by means of which it is possible to reach a set maximum quantity for the part of the weight of the load; and the dimension of the load space is adjusted either gradually or at once to a position according to the new value.

  • Patent number: 7242109
Abstract: The invention relates to a bus system comprising a bus line, to which electronic devices (26–36) can be connected. According to the invention, at least one electronic device (36) can be connected via a detachable interface (38) to the bus line, said interface (38) having a first connection (42) that is connected to a first section (12) of the bus line and a second connection (44) that is connected to a second section (14) of the bus line. To prevent an interruption of the bus line when the interface (38) is free, a bypass device (40) automatically creates a connection between the first section (12) of the bus line and the second section (14) of the bus line, if no electronic device (36) is connected to the interface (38).

  • Patent number: 7124961
Abstract: A sprayer system includes one or more spray nozzle systems and a recirculation line which contains a Venturi for recirculation of non-sprayed liquid into a tank during breaks in spraying. To facilitate circulation, restrictors are placed in an upstream area of each nozzle system feeding line, and a downstream control valve is inserted between each nozzle system and the recirculation line. Each nozzle system can be independently controlled. Closing a control valve activates the spraying system associated with that valve, whereas opening the valve enables the liquid to circulate through the recirculation line into the tank to prevent unwanted dripping, demixing and depositing.

  • Patent number: 7032918
Abstract: A method for stabilizing an articulated vehicle, which articulated vehicle comprises at least a front frame structure and a rear frame structure, and a frame joint structure, which is arranged to couple the frame structures to each other and to allow them to rotate both in relation to each other, away from the normal position, as well as at the same time around an axis, which is substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the articulated vehicle. In the method a supporting force is maintained, which force affects between the frame structures and resists the rotation of the frame structures away from normal position, and the maximum of said supporting force is controlled in such a manner that it is dependent on the difference of rotations at least when said difference is increasing and at least when said difference is static.

  • Patent number: 5743338
Abstract: A conservation tillage implement including a shredder with a transverse rotor hood structure having one-piece end panels which are welded to each side of the hood and project rearwardly of the hood to receive a toolbar which extends the width of the implement. The center of the toolbar is connected to a pair of parallel upright central panels which are connected to the central rear portion of the hood. A reinforcing member extends from the central rear portion between the central panels around the top of the hood adjacent the hitch structure which connects the implement to a tractor. The end and central panels and reinforced hood structure define a compact, unobtrusive frame which is sturdy enough to pull heavy drawbar loads and resist heavy torque loading. In one embodiment of the invention, the toolbar supports a plurality of transversely adjustable deep tillage tools such as rippers, and disk structure is connected by adjustable bracket structure to the toolbar behind the rippers.

  • Patent number: 5123820
Abstract: A rotary internal combustion engine includes a rotor with apex seals installed in slots which extend axially through apexes of the rotor. Each slot has stepped side walls which define an inner narrower slot portion and an outer wider slot portion. The portion are joined by a pair of outwardly facing ledges on both sides of the slot. Each apex seal has a outer head which includes a pair of overhanging or cantilevered lips. The width of the overhang is slightly larger than the width of the ledges so that seal-slot contact is made near the outer seal tip.

  • Patent number: 4967796
Abstract: A fuel injection control valve has a housing with a high pressure fuel inlet, a fuel outlet and a spill passage. A spool is rotatably and slidably received in the housing. The spool has peripheral delivery and spill control recesses which control communication of fuel to the outlet and through the spill passage as the spool rotates. The width and depth of the recesses may be adjusted to achieve desired timing and flow rate control. The spool is threadably connected to a rotating drive shaft. The spool is movable axially to adjust the amount of fuel delivered for each spool rotation and can be rotated relative to the engine drive system to adjust injection timing.
