    Abstract: A composition for use as a base course in a pavement construction is prepared by prereacting uncompacted incinerator ash with 2-10% by weight lime or 2-10% by weight of a 2:3 lime:fly ash mixture for several days and then adding 2-10% by weight lime and 20-25% by weight water to the composition before compaction.
