Abstract: A new composition and method for treating depression is claimed comprising administering to a patient exhibiting said illness or illnesses a pharmacologically effective dose of an opioid antagonist having a pentacyclic nucleus, and a pharmacologically effective dose of a tricyclic antidepressant.
