Abstract: Multilayer products, such as vehicle trim panels, provided with an external skin layer and an internal core layer are co-injection molded by injecting external material (P) through a first plurality of points of injection (3a-3c) and injecting the core material (C) through a second plurality of points of injection (4a-4g), the points and nozzles of injection of one material being physically distinct from those of the other material.

Abstract: A granulated or pelletized composition of propylene homo and copolymers onto which are grafted grafting units of vinylpolybutadiene and further grafting units selected from polyalkenylenes, EPM and EPDM polymers, and mixtures thereof. The composition has a Shore D hardness value equal to or less than 35 and a fogging value equal to or greater than 90%. The composition is suitable for injection molding. A method of producing the granulated or pelletized composition comprising forming the composition by mixing the propylene homo and copolymers, vinylpolybutadiene grafting units and further grafting units with peroxide radical initiators, extruding the composition under heat and granulating the extruded polymer composite. An interior car door panel or interior car trim element having an outer skin made of granulated or pelletized forms of the composition.
Abstract: Trim panels for motorvehicles are manufactured by: injection molding a panel base portion having missing parts of predetermined area and shape, said molding involving the coinjection of a surface material and of an inner core material; separately producing a plurality of portions of panel having area and shape substantially corresponding to the missing parts and fastening said separately produced portions to said panels.
Abstract: Panels and elements for vehicle interiors are obtained by co-extrusion or co-lamination of a layer (10a) of themoplastic support material containing a reinforcement filler with a layer (9a) of thermoplastic covering material containing an amorphous thermoplastic and by thermoforming the resulting sheets in a press.
