Patents Assigned to Johnson Crushers International
  • Patent number: 10730055
Abstract: A method for operating an aggregate material processing plant according to two alternative modes of operation. In a first operating mode, unprocessed aggregate material is deposited onto a crusher feed conveyor and then fed to a crusher. The crusher produces crushed aggregate material, which is conveyed by a collection conveyor to a vibratory screen assembly at a first speed. The vibratory screen assembly sizes aggregate material deposited onto an upper screen deck thereof. Unscreened aggregate material is conveyed by a transfer conveyor to the crusher feed conveyor. In a second operating mode, unprocessed aggregate material is deposited onto the vibratory screen assembly, which sizes the aggregate material. The transfer conveyor conveys unscreened aggregate material to the crusher feed conveyor. The crusher feed conveyor feeds aggregate material to the crusher, which produces crushed aggregate material.

  • Publication number: 20200078826
Abstract: An apparatus for use in replacing a compliant member of a vibratory screen assembly. In supporting the vibratory screen assembly, the compliant member is compressed between a screen base and a contact plate that is mounted on a screen frame of the vibratory screen assembly and potential energy is stored by the compliant member as a result of the compression. The apparatus includes an exchanging plate and connectors that hold the exchanging plate at a selectively adjustable distance away from the contact plate. The potential energy stored by the compliant member may be decreased by increasing the distance between the exchanging plate and contact plate by adjusting the connectors. The compliant member may be safely removed and exchanged by eliminating all compression in the compliant member using the exchanging plate.

  • Publication number: 20190232298
Abstract: A cone crusher apparatus having a bowl liner removably mounted within a bowl. A wedge is radially adjustable between an inside surface of the bowl and an outside surface of the bowl liner. The wedge moves radially between a rotation-preventing position and a rotation-permitting position. In the rotation-preventing position, the wedge is in simultaneous abutment with the bowl and bowl liner and through that simultaneous abutment immediately develops a maximum holding force such that relative motion between the bowl liner and bowl in a first rotational direction is prevented. In the rotation-permitting position, the wedge is not in simultaneous abutment with the bowl and bowl liner and at least some relative motion between the bowl liner and bowl in the first rotational direction is permitted.

  • Publication number: 20190201935
Abstract: An impulse mechanism for use with a vibratory screen includes a rotatable shaft having exposed opposing ends terminating outside the vibratory screen, a stationary spindle surrounding the opposing ends of the shaft, and vibration generators located on each of the opposing ends of the shaft that generate vibrations when the shaft is rotated. Each vibration generator includes a bearing housing that rotates with the shaft, an exposed mass component mounted to the bearing housing is accessible from outside the bearing housing and rotates about the shaft to generate vibrations, and a bearing assembly located within the bearing housing transmits vibrations from the rotating mass component to the vibratory screen assembly.

  • Publication number: 20190070637
Abstract: A vibratory screen assembly with improved structural bracing having a vibratory screen deck defined by pairs of side and end walls that are arranged in a rectangular configuration. Cross members are spaced along the length of the screen deck in parallel relationship with each other and extend between the side walls of the screen deck. Bracing components are mounted exclusively between adjacent pairs of cross members and increase the flexural frequency of the vibratory screen deck. Each bracing component includes a main segment configured to extend between adjacent cross members and end sections formed at each end of the main segment. The end sections are angled with respect to the main segment and are configured to mount to the cross members to brace the screen deck.

  • Publication number: 20120121214
Abstract: Embodiments herein generally provide a pin-guided roller bearing utilizing an interference fit, e.g., a shrink fit and/or press fit, to strengthen the connection between the pins and the cage, which may increase the durability of the cage. Various embodiments generally include a pin-guided cage and a plurality of roller elements coupled to the cage, wherein the pins are coupled to the cage by an interference fit. The roller bearing may further include a top race and a bottom race, coupled to opposite sides of the roller elements. The roller bearing may generally facilitate the movement of the top race relative to the bottom race while subject to a substantial load on the toprace.

  • Patent number: 7806948
Abstract: A filter system for ambient air to remove airborne particulates in air that is to be used for engine operation. A filter media that is pervious to air and impervious to the particulates may be coupled to a filtered air chamber, which in turn may supply filtered air to the engine's air intake system. In various embodiments, the engine's air intake may be used utilized to draw air through the filter media into the filtered air chamber. An pressurized gas pulsing system may be used to periodically urge reverse airflow through the bag walls to maintain the permeability of the walls to the clean air.

  • Patent number: 6889846
Abstract: A hybrid incline/horizontal screen for separating particulate material into predetermined size fractions, the screen having multiple screen decks mounted on a frame, at least one uppermost screen deck having an inclined receiving end and a horizontal discharge end. Each screen deck has a screening medium with predetermined sized openings that screens the particulate material. The screen decks are in stacked relationship, the upper screen deck having the largest screen medium openings, the openings becoming progressively smaller the lower the screen deck is mounted on the frame. The inclined receiving portion of the one or more uppermost screen decks provides for rapid material separation and conveyance through the upper screen decks to the lower screen decks while the horizontal discharge end reduces the tendency for the material to pile up (snowball) and maintaining a more uniform material bed, while providing for a shorter, more transportable screen.

  • Patent number: 6386375
Abstract: A vibrating screen supported by springs and vibrated via rotating gear sets. The gears are provided with off center weights synchronized to produce angularly directed vibration for moving the material from end to end on the screen. The gears are lubricated with a bath of low viscosity lubricant which is vibrated to form lubricant spikes that extend into the path of the weights to be propelled by the weights into the gears. The weights are substantially crescent shaped at their leading end to avoid hammer like impact of the lubricant and to thereby reduce heat generation.
