  • Publication number: 20170225023
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus. The exercise apparatus includes a platform which has an endless belt revolved around it. The endless belt defines an exercising space. A left strap extends from a left front portion to a left rear portion of the exercising space, and a right strap extends from a right front portion to a right rear portion of the exercising space. The left strap and the right strap respectively have a first connecting part and a second connecting part which could be connected or detached with each other. When the two connecting parts are connected with each other, the left strap and the right strap form a retaining portion for resisting forward movement of a user. When the two connecting parts are detached, the left strap and the right strap could be positioned on a left side and a right side of the exercising space.

  • Patent number: 9724559
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a frame, two crank units, two reciprocating members, two swing arms, two linkages and two carrying arms. A predetermined portion oriented between the top and bottom ends of each linkage is pivotally coupled to the corresponding crank unit and is moved along a circular path. The top end of each linkage is pivotally coupled to the corresponding reciprocating member and is moved along a curved path between two retracing points. The front end of each carrying arm is pivotally coupled to the bottom end of the corresponding linkage and is moved along a first closed path which is elliptical-like shaped. A predetermined portion oriented between the front and rear ends of each carrying arm is pivotally coupled to the bottom of the corresponding swing arm. The rear end of the carrying arm supports user's foot and is moved along a second closed path.

  • Patent number: 9675838
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus. The exercise apparatus includes a platform with an endless belt. The endless belt defines an exercising space above it. A restricting device has a retaining portion, a left restricting portion and a right restricting portion. The two restricting portions are elongated and flexible, such as straps. The left restricting portion is connected to a left end of the retaining portion from a left rear of the exercising space. The right restricting portion is connected to a right end of the retaining portion from a right rear of the exercising space. The restricting device maintains the retaining portion at an appropriate position to make the retaining portion naturally abut against a waist of the user for resisting forward movement of the user toward a front side of the exercising space and allowing the user to sprint or quick run on the platform.

  • Patent number: 9427612
Abstract: The present invention relates to a locking device for retaining one end part of a horizontal bar. The locking device includes a housing and a retaining block. The housing has an inclined groove defining a closed end and an open end, and the open end is above the closed end so that the end part of the horizontal bar is able to be rested in the closed end of the inclined groove of the housing. The retaining block is rotatable with respect to the housing between a first position where the retaining block is located in the inclined groove for retaining the end part of the horizontal bar, and a second position where the retaining block is moved out of the inclined groove for allowing the end part of the horizontal bar to be removed from the housing.

  • Patent number: 9429511
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of detecting a lubrication status between a deck and a belt of a treadmill. The method includes: starting a lubrication detecting procedure of the treadmill by a user, making the belt driving system drive the belt to run for a period of time without the user on the belt of the treadmill, having the user walk on the belt of the treadmill for a period of time at a level state, having the user walk on the belt of the treadmill for a period of time at a predetermined angle. Thereafter, a central control unit of the treadmill calculates a friction coefficient between the belt and the deck of the treadmill according to measuring results of the procedures, and generating a suggestion of maintenance according to a level of the friction coefficient.

  • Patent number: 8974353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stair exercise device for simulating stair climbing, the device having a plurality of steps which are activated by the weight of a person walking up them. A stationary platform at the base of the stair exercise device sends a signal to a controller to bring the exercise device to a controlled stop when an operator steps onto the platform. The steps of the exercise device stop in a predetermined location when the exercise device comes to a controlled stop, ensuring proper step location to allow the operator to easily enter and exit the exercise device. Steps have a step platform of a different color than the risers between steps to aid in foot placement.

  • Patent number: 8968159
Abstract: A folding elliptical exercise machine includes a main frame, a guider frame coupled to the main frame for being moved between a use position and a storage position, a rotatable crank mechanism arranged on the main frame, two supporting members coupled between two crank units of the rotatable crank mechanism and two tracks of the guider frame, and two pedals coupled to the two supporting members. The engagement of the locking device is affected by the position of the guider frame. The locking device has a latch which can be located in an unlocked position where it is not interfering with the rotatable crank mechanism when the guider frame is oriented in the use position, or can be located in a locking position for stopping the rotatable crank mechanism from rotating when the guider frame is moved from the use position to the storage position.
