Publication number: 20110095504Abstract: An article for mounting a fender to a truck frame is described. The article permits the fender to swing up and away from the tire, so that the tire can be accessed without removal of the fender. The article includes first and second brackets mounted to the truck frame. The first bracket includes a hinge. The truck fender includes first and second sections. The hinge is mounted to the first section of the truck fender. The second section includes an armature that removably mounts to the second bracket. Unmounting the armature from the second bracket permits the truck fender to rotate about the hinge thereby exposing the tire.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2010Publication date: April 28, 2011Applicant: Jones Performance Products, Inc.Inventor: David A. Patent number: 6988574Abstract: The present invention describes an opening for engine compartment cooling. The opening includes a one-way valve that permits airflow only at speed. The valve allows cooling air to circulate past the engine without impeding the efficiency of the radiator. The size, shape and number of openings and valves may vary depending on cooling capacity or styling considerations. The opening includes a leading edge followed by an indentation defining a port for a one-way valve. A valve is fixed in the port so that airflow can occur only in one direction.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2004Date of Patent: January 24, 2006Assignee: Jones Performance Products, Inc.Inventor: David A.
