    Abstract: A DNA expression vector is described which is characterized in that it comprises a DNA sequence that codes a protein which possesses the biological activity of nitrogen monoxide synthase (NOS) and eukaryotic regulation elements, wherein said eukaryotic regulation elements result in the expression of said DNA sequence in eukaryotic cells, as well as the use of the expression vector for treatment or prevention of vascular disorders.
