Patents Assigned to Jossi Holding AG
  • Patent number: 10945849
Abstract: An outer shell (1) for a joint socket implant, in particular for an acetabular implant, which comprises a convex outer face (3) and a concave inner face (4) for receiving an inner shell. The concave inner face (4) has at least partially a toothing system (7), in particular a circular circumferential region (6) thereof. Via the toothing system (7), an inhibition of the rotatability of the two shells, relative to one another, can be achieved upon insertion of the inner shell into the outer shell (1).

  • Patent number: 10258474
Abstract: An artificial joint cup, in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface. In addition, the joint cup comprises an outer diameter and an inner diameter. Abstract: An artificial joint cup (2), in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup (2) is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface (3) and a concave inner surface (4). In addition, the joint cup (2) comprises an outer diameter (OD) and an inner diameter (ID). The ratio of the difference (D) between the outer diameter (OD) and the inner diameter (ID) in relation to the outer diameter (OD) is in a region between 0.5 and 0.07, preferably between 0.3 and 0.075, particularly preferably between 0.2 and 0.1. The joint cup (2) is manufactured from a ceramic material, and the convex outer surface (3) has a micro-structuring.

  • Patent number: 9301852
Abstract: The instrument has a collet (19) that has at least two clamping jaws (18, 18?) for engaging an engaging means (4) on an implant body (1). The collet is received in a sleeve portion (20), the free end (21) of which has a support portion (22) that can be supported on the surface of the implant. A tension element (23) that engages the collet is used as an actuating means for actuating the collet. The outer faces of the clamping jaws interact with the inner face of the sleeve portion such that the collet can be closed and moved relative to the free end of the sleeve portion by pulling the tension element.

  • Patent number: 9198761
Abstract: The invention relates to a ball-and-socket implant (I), in particular an acetabular implant, preferably in the shape of a spherical cup shell, said implant having at least one region with a surface structure (2, 7). The at least one region extends between the equator and the pole of the spherical cup shell. The surface structure comprises a plurality of structural elements (6), each of which is formed by a plurality of intersecting ridges (3, 8) with opposite inclinations. The number of structural elements (6) on the equator (5) or on a circle of latitude near the equator is the same as on a circle of latitude near the pole. The ridges (3, 8) have a curvature such that the inclination of the ridges with respect to the circles of latitude, and thus an angle between a tangent of the ridge curvature and a circle of latitude, continuously increases from the equator (5) to the pole (4).

  • Patent number: 9173741
Abstract: An implant, having a surface segment with at least one break line delineating an opening or recess of a closure segment which can be removed from the surface segment, is produced by first making a sub-assembly of the implant and then weakening the material in the region of the break line by material deformation.

  • Publication number: 20130218287
Abstract: The present invention relates to a joint socket (1) for a hip joint prosthesis, with a metal outer shell (2) and with a preferably ceramic inner shell (3). The outer shell (2) and the inner shell (3) are held together with a force fit by shrinkage and are connected to each other by at least one additional form-fit means (4; 5). The at least one form-fit means (4;5) is arranged on the periphery in the equatorial edge region of the joint socket in such a way that, as a result of the shrinkage stress, it forms a sealing operative connection between outer shell (2) and inner shell (3). The present invention further relates to a method for producing a joint socket (1), in which method a metal outer shell (2) is shrink-fitted onto a preferably ceramic inner shell (3), wherein at least one peripheral form-fit means (4;5) in the equatorial edge region of the outer shell (2) engages in a corresponding means of the inner shell (3).

  • Publication number: 20130053976
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an implant (1) having at least one surface segment having at least one break line (3) delineating for exposing an opening or recess of a closure segment (2) removable from the surface segment by the effect of force. In a first, preferably machining method, a sub-assembly of the implant (1) is first produced. In a second step, the material strength in the region of the break line (3) is weakened by material deformation.

  • Patent number: 5933921
Abstract: The position of foreign matter in a bale pattern after its separation in a separating device (10) may be evaluated in that the relative position of the opening device (1) and the transport time of the fibers between the opening device (1) and the separating device (10) is determined in each relative position. Given a separating procedure, taking account of the mentioned variables, the position of the opening device (1) at the point in time of opening the foreign matter (28) is evaluated. The determined opening position of the foreign matter on the fiber bales (27) is stored as a signal and subsequently preferably graphically represented. The method permits conclusions on the degree of contamination of the fiber bales.
