Abstract: Provided is a display device equipped with a frame assembly that can prevent malfunction or failure of a control substrate attributable to internal heating and which has a simplified structure enabling easy production of a compact display device. The frame assembly includes: a first frame combined with a display panel; a second frame spaced from and combined with a rear surface of the first frame; and a third frame and a fourth frame that are combined with a rear surface of the second frame in a state in which the display panel is mounted. The first and second frames have respective openings, the third frame has a width larger than that of the fourth frame in a front-and-rear direction, and an upper portion of the display panel is inclined forward when the display device is installed such that the control substrate is vertically arranged.

The housing includes a plurality of frames which enclose the display panel and the rear cover. Each frame has a sidewall, and a connection member which connects the frames to each other. The assembling structure is installed in the housing to provide a closed structure and is provided to ensure coupling force among the display panel, the rear cover and the housing. The assembling structure includes a fastening bracket which presses the display panel onto the frames of the housing and fastens the display panel to the frames, a support bracket which supports the rear cover, and an auxiliary bracket which assists connection between the adjacent frames.

The drive means rotate two connection members connected to respective ends of the display panel. The microcontroller operates the drive means so that the display panel is unfolded when receiving basic signals. Each of the clutch means causes a corresponding connection member to run idle over a corresponding rotational shaft. Each of the windup springs is mounted to the corresponding rotational shaft and is wound when the display panel is unfolded.
