    Abstract: An aerosol generation device has a body, a closure, a resilient element and a rigid element. The body has an aperture through which an aerosol substrate is receivable into the aerosol generation device. The closure is moveable relative to the aperture between a closed position in which the closure covers the aperture and an open position in which the aperture is substantially unobstructed by the closure. The rigid element has a first end arranged to cooperate with the closure and a second end pivotally coupled to the body such that the rigid element rotates relative to the body as the closure moves between the closed position and the open position. The resilient element is mounted on the rigid element and is arranged to provide a resilient force that biases the closure towards at least one of the closed position and the open position.
