    Abstract: The method and apparatus for atomizing and spraying liquid substances serves in particular to produce clouds for inhalation purposes. The liquid substance to be atomized is compressed to such an extent that it decreases in volume and that it is then explosively released into the normal atmosphere. Due to its high internal pressure, the liquid substance bursts into extremely small particles.
