    Abstract: An electric vehicle charging connection (EVCC) includes metering logic within a socket that supplies electricity to a plug-in cord, and metering logic within a handle of the plug-in cord. The handle and socket compare metering information from the metering logic, and electrical flow from the socket is disabled based on results of the comparison.
