Patents Assigned to Jules Silver
  • Patent number: 4275729
Abstract: An adjustable dosage syringe is provided wherein the syringe plunger has sets of multiple closely spaced indentations along the length of the plunger, and a dosage selection ring disposed around the plunger. The inside circumference of the dosage selection ring has protuberances which are registerable with and receivable in one of the indentations of the sets of indentations so that when one protuberance is received in an indentation of the first set of indentations, the other protuberance is also received in an indentation in the second set of indentations. Channels are disposed along the length of the plunger for simultaneously and slidably receiving the protuberances so that the ring is longitudinally slidable along the length of the plunger.

  • Patent number: 4153056
Abstract: A syringe for dispensing medicaments or other materials includes a hollow syringe body having a discharge end portion and an open opposite end portion through which a plunger is slidably received. The plunger has a first end portion located within the syringe body and includes an integral seal forming a seal between the plunger and the interior of the syringe body. A removable length adjusting member is threadably engaged on the plunged outside of the syringe body to variably limit operating travel of the plunger in the syringe body, thereby to control the amount of material in the syringe body expelled therefrom upon depression of the plunger into the syringe body.

  • Patent number: 4122943
Abstract: A dispensing container for combining and then dispensing two discrete materials includes a first open top container element for containing the first material, e.g. a fluid and a second container element having closed upper and lower ends for containing the other of the two materials, e.g. a powder or a liquid. The second container element is dimensioned to be telescopically received with its lower end within the open topped container element. A valve is provided in the lower end of the second container element for normally keeping the materials in the container elements separate but permitting fluid in the first container element to flow into the second container element upon depression of the second container element, thereby causing materials in the two containers to combine. The upper end of the second container element may be provided with a removable cover so that the mixed materials can be dispensed.

  • Patent number: 4050612
Abstract: A dispenser for flowable materials such as creams, includes a pair of open ended containers nested telescopically with each other at their open ends, with the upper container having a dispensing orifice formed therein adjacent its upper end and containing a hollow dispensing channel communicating at one end with at least a portion of the orifice and having its other end located adjacent the open end of the upper container. A piston is received in the upper container for sliding movement with respect to the dispensing channel and has a hollow rod operatively connected to it which telescopically engages the dispensing channel. This hollow rod has a bottom end that engages the closed end of the lower container and also has an opening formed therein adjacent its bottom end to provide communication between the interior of the lower container and the hollow rod.
