Abstract: A radius actuator for a safety switch of the type mounted to a hinged member, such as a flap, lid or the like, having a cover, a holder and a key. The key is pivotally mounted upon the holder such that the key may be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the pivoting circle of the radius actuator as the hinged member is opened or closed. The key being spring-biased into an insertion position and the pivot angle of the key being adjustable by means of a setscrew received by the holder. The holder being pivotally mounted relative to the cover such that the holder may be rotated about an axis within to a plane of the pivoting circle of the radius actuator as the hinged member is opened or closed. The holder being spring-biased into an insertion position and the pivot angle of the holder being adjustable by means of a setscrew received by the holder.
Abstract: An electrical switch having a contact carrier plunger which is rectilinearly guided in a housing and which can be driven by rotatable cam rollers which are arranged to be rotated on a shaft by an actuating member inserted through an opening in the switch housing. The arrangement is configured so that the roller rotation will be locked when an actuating member differing from a prescribed predesigned shape is attempted to be used. When an actuating member of the predetermined shape is employed, however, the two rollers can be laterally displaced from one another along their axis of rotation to unlock the plunger movement as the actuating member is forced against mating surfaces performed on the rollers. The openings through which the actuating member may be inserted each consists of two slots separated by an intermediate wall.
Abstract: An electrical switch for use as a safety switch for doors of lifts or elevators, the contact push rod of which is actuated by a switching roller when the roller is turned by means of an inserted actuating member. The switching roller comprises two axially spreadable switching roller portions that can be spread against the force of a spring by a pin specially provided for that purpose on the actuating member; if there is no pin on the actuating member, the roller strikes a stop before the switch is closed.
Abstract: An electrical interlock comprising a switch operated by a rotatable cam member coupled to the movable switch contacts by a longitudinally movable slider. Rotation of the cam member, which is contained within the same housing as the switch contacts, is caused by engagement, in slots in the periphery of the cam member, of an actuator mounted for movement relative to the switch housing.
