Abstract: A portable music accompaniment device that is designed to generate a plurality of different rhythms based upon a user's voice. The device receives a signal of the user's voice and then generates a rhythm to match the user's voice depending on the style of music selected. The device includes a collar designed to be worn around a user's neck, with a housing connected to the collar. A microphone is also connected to the collar for receiving a voice signal from a user. A music generation component within the housing for generating music based upon the voice signal. A speaker is included for playing the music that is generated from the music generation component.
Abstract: A digital growth chart that is affixed to a wall or other elevated surface at a specified height. A measuring element may then be extended from the device and pulled to a point such that it is at the same height as the individual being measured. Once the measuring element has been extended to the appropriate height, the measurement may be taken and recorded by the device, either automatically or through manual activation of the device. The device may include systems for announcing and/or displaying the height. In addition, the device may include the ability to store records for a plurality of individuals.
Abstract: An apparatus for remotely controlling a selectively operable device is provided. The apparatus includes a glove assembly (102) comprising a material (104) worn on a hand. The apparatus also includes sensors (116a-d) mounted to the glove assembly (102), each of the sensors generating at least one response signal in response to a movement of the hand or a flexing of a finger of the hand. The apparatus also includes a control circuit (106) mounted to the glove assembly (102) and communicatively connected to the sensors (116a-d) for generating at least one control instruction in response to the response signals. The apparatus further includes a signal transmitter (108) mounted to the glove assembly (102) and communicatively connected to the control circuit (106) for transmitting a wireless signal containing the at least one control instruction, the at least one control signal causing the device to perform at least one predefined electromechanical function.
