Patent number: 11646987Abstract: The problem of ensuring coverage for an inbound communication from a customer while also preventing concurrent responses from members of the agent group tasked with said coverage is solved by a system where a customer's thread is owned for routing purposes not by a single user but by a group of users, only one of whom is allowed to communicate with the customer until a timer expires or the thread is explicitly unlocked. Communication channels may include text messaging, voice telephony and email. In various embodiments, an adaptive rules engine is utilized to route incoming customer communications as well as outbound responses. A combination of communication/message locks and communication/messaging cache levels are used in some embodiments to provide communication/messaging coverage and to resolve competition between responding agents to address concurrency. Customer/agent communications which use multiple communication channels are threaded in an agent user interface.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2022Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: KAARYA LLCInventors: Animesh Pathak, Ujjual Nath, Akshay Tyagi, Satyendra Singh

Patent number: 11025616Abstract: A system and method for provides unverified users an ability to act upon private records known to them while protecting user privacy by not reflecting private information back to the unverified user. As an unverified user inputs information related to their identity into an interface, the system searches an indexed database which may include both registered users and/or unregistered customers indexed from a single data source or from disparate data sources.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2019Date of Patent: June 1, 2021Assignee: Kaarya LLCInventors: Ujjual Nath, Gaurav Sharma, William Fletcher

Patent number: 9726749Abstract: The present invention is for a system and method for determining the proximity of a mobile device to a location without the use of a satellite based or other location awareness system, nor a stationary beacon of any kind. Instead, the mobile device monitors radio frequency broadcast identification codes from nearby mobile devices, and determines if the set of detected identification codes is sufficiently similar to a weighted set of identification codes attributed to specified location. If the calculation of similarity meets the confidence conditions of the system, notification is made that the customer or visitor has arrived. The invention utilizes a combination of confidence interval computation, machine learning, and fault tolerance mechanisms to optimize the success of correctly detecting that the device is near the relevant location.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2013Date of Patent: August 8, 2017Assignee: Kaarya LLCInventors: Ujjual Nath, Gaurav Sharma, William Fletcher, Douglas MacGlashan, Brian Billett

Patent number: 9544291Abstract: The longstanding problems of user password management and security, and user authentication are addressed. Disclosed is a system and method for providing a means for a user to identify themselves with configurable levels of authentication in order to receive limited access or services while protecting user privacy. As a user inputs information related to their identity into an interface, the system searches an indexed database which may include both registered users and/or unregistered customers indexed from disparate data sources. The system presents the user matching results from the search in an obscured form from which the user selects and authenticates his or her identity. Unregistered users identified during the process may be automatically registered in certain embodiments, or no account may be needed in other embodiments.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2015Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: Kaarya LLCInventors: Ujjual Nath, Gaurav Sharma, William Fletcher

Patent number: 9142142Abstract: Disclosed are a device and method for providing driver tracking and behavior analysis, initiated without concurrent user input, by the presence detection of one or more drivers of the vehicle. Vehicle motion inferred from a location aware device sensor, as well as other driver smartphone sensors and application use are logged and analyzed to determine risk factors associated with identified drivers. Internet data sources are further utilized for associating road conditions and traffic regulations with the logged locations of the vehicle. Logged and analyzed data from the identified drivers is aggregated for reporting on vehicle risk.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2013Date of Patent: September 22, 2015Assignee: Kaarya, LLCInventors: Ujjual Nath, William Fletcher, Brian Billett
