  • Patent number: 5257961
Abstract: A guide channel for receiving and guiding guide chains for energy lines has a bottom that is divided in the longitudinal direction and has a width that is adjustable to varying sizes of guide chains to be guided. The guide channel is assembled from a system of prefabricated parts. Channel sidewalls of varying heights are provided. The bottom is comprised of two profiled carrier elements having a meander-shaped profile that, in the longitudinal direction, are arranged in a mirror-symmetrical arrangement relative to one another in a common horizontal plane. Each profiled carrier element is comprised of three U-shaped profiles. A first and a second one of the U-shaped profiles are open in an upward direction, and a third one of the U-shaped profiles is open in a downward direction. The third U-shaped profile is connected between the first and the second U-shaped profiles.

  • Patent number: 5048283
Abstract: A guide or feeder chain for power and supply lines is provided. The chain includes chain links that comprise two spaced-apart link members that are disposed parallel to one another and are interconnected by crosspieces. The chain links have a reciprocal pivot angle delimited by abutment inserts. Exposed sides of the chain links are covered by cover plates secured to the crosspieces. End links of the chain are connected via connectors to a fixed connection at one end and to a movable consuming device at the other end. Some of the crosspieces, along a portion thereof disposed between the link members, have an enlarged cross-sectional configuration. The abutment inserts are interconnected via stems that extend into corresponding notches of the link members. A curved cover element is telescopically guided on one side of each cover plate. One end of each end link is embodied to connect to a link member, and the other end is provided with a pocket for the insertion of variously shaped connectors.

  • Patent number: 5020313
Abstract: A guide or feeder chain for power and supply lines is provided. The chain includes chain links formed from two spaced-apart side pieces or link members that are disposed parallel to one another and are interconnected via crosspieces. Successive chain links are pivotably interconnected where they overlap one another. So that the chain links can slide on one another without becoming worn or generating noise, sliding skids are detachably secured to narrow sides of the side pieces or link members.

  • Patent number: 5003765
Abstract: A guide or feeder chain for power and supply lines is provided. The chain includes chain links that each comprise two spaced-apart link members that are disposed parallel to one another and are interconnected by crosspieces. Link members of adjacent chain links, where they overlap, are held against one another via a pivot lug and a pivot hole. Disposed in each pivot axis is a locking pin that comprises a shaft, on one end of which is formed a head and on the other end of which are formed radially projecting dogs that are disposed opposite one another. Each link member, concentric to a pivot axis, has a locking hole which has radial grooves for receiving the dogs. The grooves, on one side of the link member, has undercuts that extend away from the groove in the circumferential direction of the locking hole for receiving the dogs.

  • Patent number: 4769985
Abstract: A guide chain for carrying transmission lines, feed lines, and other energy lines, especially cables and hoses, from a fixed connection to a movable consuming device. The guide chain includes a plurality of chain links that include a U-shaped receiving member, the legs of which form outer side pieces, and that also include a closure member that can be connected to the free edges or sides of the side pieces. With minimum play and friction, the guide chain carries energy lines of various dimensions with negligible wear. When the closure member is opened, a complementarily shaped insert can be placed in the receiving member. When the closure member is closed, the periphery of the insert is supported on all sides. The insert is positively connected with the chain link when the closure member is closed via guide ribs and guide grooves.

  • Patent number: 4672805
Abstract: A guide chain for guiding energy lines, with the guide chain being disposed between a fixed connection and a movable consuming device. The guide chain includes a plurality of interconnected chain link members, each of which is a one-piece, inherently stable, U-shaped receiving member having two legs that are connected by a crosspiece and that form the links of the chain link member. Each of the chain link members is provided with a stop to limit the two-way pivot angle of adjacent interconnected ones of the chain link members. Each link of a given chain link member has a first end connected to the crosspiece, and a second end. A respective holding element is disposed on each second end of each link of a given chain link member. Each holding element projects inwardly toward the other link of that chain link member. • Patent number: 4625507
Abstract: A guide chain with supporting link chains including chain links which are connected by crosspieces. To limit the mutual pivot angle, each chain link is provided with slots which extend about a common pivot axis, with engaging studs of an adjacent chain link extending into the slots. In order to facilitate assembly and improve the support capability of the guide chain, each chain link is made as one piece, is provided at one end, on one side, with a disc-shaped plate in which are disposed the slots, and is provided at the other end, on the opposite side, with a cup, on the bottom of which are formed the engaging studs. The diameter of the plate is less than the diameter of the cup, so that the plate of one chain link can be placed into the cup of another chain link.

  • Patent number: 4626233
Abstract: A guide chain for guiding feed lines from a stationary connection to a movable consuming device. Separable cross pieces are provided which form through passages for the feed line. The cross pieces include cross bars and separating members which can be frictionally and positively interconnected. In order to improve the individual stability of the through passages to be adapted to the dimensions of the feed lines, the cross bars are provided on their inwardly directed wide sides with a mounting channel which has a C-shaped cross section for receiving a one-piece frame element or a segmented frame element, so that the through passages for the feed lines can be selectively formed by the separating members, or by the frame elements, or by a combination or separating members and frame elements.

  • Patent number: 4111236
Abstract: A self-supporting transmission line carrier between a moveable consumer and a stationary connection comprising a row of tubular members of any selected cross-sectional shape which are pivotally connected with one another and engage in one another. The tubular members are angled-off from the extended position only in one direction, in a manner whereby the angling-off of the tubular members is limited relative to one another by means of abutments. Each tubular member on one end has an inwardly rimming, circulatory channel, the outwardly angled-off edge of which forms the inner abutment. Each tubular member is shortened on the other end on one half by the width of the channel and has a circulatory inwardly directed angled-off edge which forms the outer abutment. Two adjacent tubular members engage behind one another with their inner and outer abutments and the maximum angling-off is fixed by the width of the channel.
