Patent number: 5504576Abstract: A monochromator for examining very narrow band ranges of a light spectrum has a fixed inlet slot, a grid illuminated by said slot and rotatively driven by a grid drive, a fixed outlet slot arranged in the angular area of the generated spectrum and at least one cutoff filter arranged in the path of the rays, continuously and swivelingly driven by the grid drive transversely to the path of the rays for filtering out light of orders other than the observed order. The cutoff filter is coupled to the grid drive in such a way that it is synchronically swiveled over the same angle as the grid, covering the desired spectral range.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1994Date of Patent: April 2, 1996Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Klaus-Michael Ohle, Ingolf Adam, Hans-Peter Buban, Hans W. Patent number: 5168736Abstract: A crimping machine is disclosed for making a crimp connection of an electrical connector with an electrical conductor. A fixed tool receives the connector with crimpable prongs in a position for receiving the electrical conductor therebetween. A movable tool crimps the prongs against the conductor by a reciprocating stroke and a strain gage senses the force transmitted between the tools. A control device responds to a predetermined value of force for terminating the crimping stroke and measuring means measures the length of the crimping stroke. Indicating means indicates when the length of the stroke of the movable tool deviates from a predetermined stroke length as an indication of a defective crimp connection.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Klaus Enneper, Dirk Monsieur, Eckbert Schwager

Patent number: 5159157Abstract: To minimize the cross-sectional area or the diameter of an electric line that is under tensile stress, a central fibrous element of a carbon fiber bundle is disclosed. This can be designed so it is resistant to the longitudinal entry of water.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1991Date of Patent: October 27, 1992Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventor: Wolfgang Diegmann

Patent number: 4934965Abstract: An electrical plug connector includes a male component with a blade contact and a female component has a socket with a flat profile. The socket has a rectangular cross-section with narrow and broad sides which are segmented by longitudinal slots into a group of parallel arms which form a cage with contact arms buckled toward the interior of the cage. During coupling action, the crests of the buckles of the contact arms come into contact sequentially with the blade edge of the male component.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 1989Date of Patent: June 19, 1990Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Hartmut Buddrus, Klaus Enneper

Patent number: 4846737Abstract: A multiple pole coupling for electrical lines is disclosed in which plural contact elements are mounted in longitudinal passages in a coupling body. A first housing with a base plate and cover plate receives a slide with a set of slide passages therein for receiving contact elements. A set of base plate passages and a corresponding set of cover plate passages are disposed in the same pattern as the slide passages but the cover plate passages are laterally offset from the base plate passages. The slide is disposed in the housing in a first position with the passages therein being aligned respectively with the corresponding base plate passages. Each contact element extends through a base plate passage and is disposed partially in the base plate passage and partially in the corresponding slide passage. Each of the contact elements has a laterally extending abutment shoulder and each of the base plate passages has an enlarged portion adjacent the part of the contact element disposed therein.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1988Date of Patent: July 11, 1989Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Waldemar Jorroch, Peter Schekalla

Patent number: 4745238Abstract: A floatable flexible line is provided with at least four air chambers which extend in the form of a one-piece extruded flexible chambered casing around the conductors. The density of the material for the chambered casing is preferably below 1 kg/dm.sup.3.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1985Date of Patent: May 17, 1988Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Alfred Kotthaus, Lothar Nohring

Patent number: 4579409Abstract: A lockable electrical connector with a receptacle and a flat plug is disclosed. The receptacle comprises a duct-shaped plug receiver with arched-over walls terminating in a free edge segments. A tongue unitary with a bottom wall is bent back into the receiver and the flat plug is received between the free edge segments and the tongue. The tongue has a tang coacting with an opening in the flat plug to secure it against removal from the receptacle. A release cam on the free end of the tongue coacts with a cam on the casing to bend the tongue for removal of the tang from the opening to allow removal of the flat plug from the receptacle.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1983Date of Patent: April 1, 1986Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Klaus Enneper, Heinrich Keunecke

Patent number: 4447806Abstract: A test circuit is disclosed for testing the continuity of a load circuit, such as a vehicle lamp circuit, and indicating a discontinuity when the load circuit is either energized or de-energized. The test circuit comprises an indicating circuit with an LED and a switching transistor in series and a voltage divider for biasing the transistor to a conductive state. The detecting circuit includes a reed switch which is closed in response to load current for connecting a point on the voltage divider to ground to switch the transistor off. The detecting circuit also includes current blocking means such as a diode for connecting the voltage divider to ground through the load circuit so that the transistor is switched off when there is continuity in the load circuit to ground.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1981Date of Patent: May 8, 1984Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Manfred Gundel, Heinz-Werner Schlamm, Klaus-Dieter Schmitz

Patent number: 4404463Abstract: An electrical heating device is disclosed for heating a plate which, for example, is used for heating the outside rear view mirror of a vehicle. The heating device includes a positive temperature coefficient resistor constructed as a resistive body in the form of a flat cylindrical ring. One flat surface of the ring is seated upon the plate to be heated which is used as one electrical terminal of the resistor. Another metal plate is seated against the other flat surface of the ring and serves as the second electrical terminal and also as a heat distributing plate for the resistive body. A two part fastening means comprising a headed shank and a press-on nut is provided, with the shank extending through the plates and the resistive body to press them against one another to obtain good electrical and thermal conduction.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1981Date of Patent: September 13, 1983Assignee: Kabelwerke Reinshagen GmbHInventors: Bernd Eder, Eckehard Wosthoff
