  • Patent number: 5820285
Abstract: An ink passage (6) including a shallow groove (6a) having the shape of a thin film and forming a very small gap capable of exercising capillarity and deep grooves (6b) of a depth greater than that of the shallow groove (6a), is formed in a joining surface (5) of a pen nib formed by putting a pair of nib elements (1a, 1b) together in a face-to-face disposition and by fixing rear portions of the nib elements to a neck tube (2) or the like of a pen barrel. Front portions, i.e., nonfixed portions, of the pair of nib elements (1a, 1b) are formed in elastically deformable shapes so that the front portions are able to slide relative to each other when writing force is applied to the tip of the nib.
