  • Publication number: 20100297383
Abstract: An embodiment provides an ornamental sheet and a method of manufacturing the ornamental sheet, wherein an ornamental pattern for use in ornamenting a fabric product may be easily peeled off from a film when using the ornamental pattern. A laser beam is applied while moving it along the contour of a pattern on a surface. By this, a synthetic fiber sheet piece with the pattern printed is cut out of a synthetic fiber sheet. When cutting out, a cut line (groove) is formed in the film to extend to the vicinity of the bottom face of the film by heat due to the irradiation with a laser beam. Also, a periphery of an adhesive layer of the synthetic fiber sheet is welded to the film, and a periphery, which is close to the periphery through the cut line, of the adhesive layer of the synthetic fiber sheet is welded to the film.

  • Patent number: 5492738
Abstract: A ribbon comprises a pair of facing strips and at least one string disposed between both the strips. Both the strips and the string are joined together at their one ends, and both the strips are joined to each other at a plurality of points on each of a plurality of lines spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction so that both the strips can be moved relative to the string in their longitudinal direction. Each strip has at least one slit extending in the longitudinal direction either between a joint in one end of the strip and a line adjacent thereto or between two lines adjacent to each other. A plurality of pairs of facing strips similarly joined by a plurality of lines spaced apart from each other in their longitudinal direction are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4812338
Abstract: A combination of an artificial flower-forming ribbon and a tack plate wherein the ribbon includes a pair of strips overlapped with respect to each other and at least one string disposed along and interposed between the strips, the string being joined to one end of each of the strips at one end thereof, while the strips are adhered to each other at at least two portions on each of a plurality of lines spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the strips so as to permit relative movement between the strips and the string in order to form the flower petals. The tack plate includes a slit which extends from a central portion thereof to a peripheral edge portion thereof whereby insertion of the strips and/or string into and through the tack plate is simplified and facilitated. A central hole is also provided within the tack plate and in communication with the slit so as to accommodate the string once the same has been inserted within the tack plate.

The tack plate includes a first plate member having at least one slit or hole, through which both of the strips and string are passed, and a second plate member having adhesive films on both surfaces thereof. The second plate member is joined at one surface thereof to the first plate member and one of the strips passed through the slit or hole of the first plate member.

  • Patent number: 4579492
Abstract: A plastic screw anchor having legs each formed with a recess which provides the leg with good flexibility whereby the legs can easily deform during the insertion thereof into an aperture of a supporting plate and also provides a strong grip between the screw anchor and the supporting plate. A wing integrally formed on each leg prevents the screw anchor from coming out of the aperture after having once been inserted therein.

  • Patent number: 4525912
Abstract: A pierce nut has a plurality of projections which are integrally formed with a cylindrical body of the pierce nut. When the pierce nut is pressed against a metal sheet laid on a back-up die, an opening is formed in the metal sheet only by shearing force between the pierce nut and the back-up die, with no other force being used to press-break the metal sheet, and the projections are deformed by an annular bank portion of the back-up die at different portions thereof each time the back-up die is used. Thus, the use of the present pierce nut in combination with the present back-up die remarkably extends the life of the back-up die.

  • Patent number: 4486135
Abstract: A tapping screw in which a shank includes a main shank portion having a substantially uniform diameter and a reduced diameter shank portion having a substantially rounded triangle shaped cross-section. Tapping is carried out by the apexes of the rounded triangle in the reduced diameter shank portion, and therefore, screwing torque is greatly reduced as well as the fastening force is greatly increased as compared with a conventional tapping screw.

  • Patent number: 4476168
Abstract: An artificial-flower-forming ribbon having an overlapped pair of strips and strings placed longitudinally in the middle of strips and therebetween. One end of the string is joined to those of the strips, and both strips are adhered to each other at a plurality of line areas spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the strips so as to permit relative movements of the strips and the strings. The line areas are inclined with respect to the widthwise direction of the strips, the inclinations being alternately reverse.

  • Patent number: 4384021
Abstract: A woven fabric tape comprises a main portion and selvage portions provided along both sides of the main portion. The selvage portions are composed of a tissue which is more resistant against fraying than the tissue of the main portion. Each selvage portion of the fabric tape has a fused edge thereby to prevent fraying. A woven fabric suitable for the production of such fabric tapes comprises main portions and selvage forming portions, which are continuously and alternatively woven in a parallel relationship with each other. The selvage forming portions are composed of a tissue which is more resistant against fraying than the tissue of the main portions. The selvage forming portions are made of a thermally fusible material.

  • Patent number: 4228722
Abstract: An upset bolt provided with a pressure formed recess on the bolt head. The recess is formed by the combination of three separate surfaces, that is, concave, convex and flat standing surfaces which respectively form lower, middle and upper portions of the recess. By virture of provision of the concave and convex surfaces respectively in lower and middle portions of the recess, stress concentration occurs in the region along the concave and concave surfaces when the recess is pressure formed. Since the region of stress concentration is positioned away from the neck portion of the bolt body, the breaking strength is remarkably increased as compared with conventional upset bolt in which the stress concentration occurs in a region near the neck portion of the bolt body.
