    Abstract: An electronic timepiece has an oscillator for generating a high frequency time standard signal which is frequency-divided by a multi-stage divider circuit. A memory stores time adjustment information for use in adjusting the time in the event the oscillator time standard signal is higher than a predetermined frequency. The memory is connected to a preset circuit for presetting the divider circuit in accordance with the content of the memory. The divider circuit comprises 16 dividing stages and when no time adjustment is needed, the divider output is taken from the 15th stage in the conventional manner whereas when time adjustment is being carried out, the divider output is taken from the 16th stage. A selecting circuit applies either the output form the 15th or 16th stage to a display device depending on whether or not time adjustment information is stored in the memory.

    Abstract: A thermosensitive semiconductor device has a semiconductor substrate of one conductivity type which is used as the common collector of at least two Darlington-connected transistors. The base of the first stage transistor is connected to the common collector to form a first terminal and the emitter of the final stage transistor forms a second terminal. A constant current source is connected between the first and second terminals. To reduce deviations in the temperature response, a second collector region can be used and which can extend to a depth deeper than the depth of the emitter of the final stage transistor to absorb some of the carriers injected by the emitter.

    Abstract: A positioning apparatus for positioning an arm of an industrial robot comprises a frame member connected to the robot arm and being movably supported by a frame-supporting member. The frame-supporting member is movably mounted within an upstanding hollow sleeve of a stationary base, and a bearing is formed between an outer peripheral surface portion of the frame-supporting member and an inner peripheral surface portion of the base hollow sleeve portion for slidably mounting the frame-supporting member to undergo linear and angular sliding movements relative to the base hollow sleeve portion. A rotary motor effects angular driving movement of the frame-supporting member, and a linear motor effects linear movement of the frame-supporting member to thereby accurately position the robot arm. By such a construction, the frame-supporting member is mounted for angular and linear sliding movements relative to the base hollow sleeve portion by a single bearing.

    Abstract: An automatic extractor apparatus has a rotatable turn table on which are supported a plurality of angularly spaced-apart treating vessels. The treating vessels are mounted around the periphery of the turn table and are supported by pivot pins such that when the turn table is in a non-rotation state, the treating vessels hang downwardly from the pivot pins, whereas when the turn table is rotationally driven at high speed, the heating vessels pivot about the pivot pins and are flung outwardly due to centrifugal force. A drive mechanism rotationally indexes the turn table to different stop positions, and a plurality of treating stations are disposed at the stop positions to treat the solution contained in the treating vessels and extract therefrom the desired substance. The turn table is used both as an indexing table for indexing the treating vessels to different stop positions and a centrifuging table to centrifuge the solutions in the treating vessels.
