  • Patent number: 5692423
Abstract: A vibration finishing method and apparatus in which the surface roughness and form of a hole in a compound material such as a printed board can be made excellent and the working accuracy of the hole can be significantly improved and the working cost of the hole can be lowered. In the punch pressing device, a compound material is fixed to a lower metal mold having a lower die hole into which a punching tool can be inserted. While the compound material is held between the lower metal mold and a pressing plate and pressed by pressing members provided with the pressing plate having an upper die hole into which the punching tool can be inserted, a minute-vibration of frequency of several ten hertz is applied onto the punching tool and then, the compound material is punched out. After that, the punching tool is temporarily drawn from the hole to be worked in the compound material.

  • Patent number: 5133609
Abstract: A resilient seal for a rolling bearing having an outer peripheral edge secured in a circumferential groove of an outer race and an inner peripheral end directed toward the outer periphery of a groove of an inner race. The seal is reinforced by a circular reinforcing core and includes a center lip and an inner lip both at the inner peripheral end thereof. The center lip extends radially inwardly from a thick rigid portion of the seal formed adjacent to the inner end of the circular reinforcing core to always contact the side outer wall of the groove of the inner race irrespective of the axial relative movement between the inner and outer races. The inner lip is thin and extends toward and below the top of the side inner wall of the groove of the inner race to form a labyrinth clearance therebetween. When the outer race is rotated at high speed, the inner lip is moved to decrease the labyrinth clearance by a centrifugal force in proportion to the rotational speed of the outer race.

  • Patent number: 5133047
Abstract: A robot control method of the playback type and an apparatus for using the method in which position data and data regarding velocity are taught at a sequence of points for a work program, and a servo system is driven by the use of the taught data to playback or repeat the work program. Phase angles which increase as the robot progresses through the sequence of teaching points are taught as the data regarding the velocity of the work program. At playback, a reference phase angle computed on the basis of a previously-set playback cycle time for the work program. The reference phase angle increases at an advance velocity which decreases with an increase in the playback cycle time. During operation, the reference phase angle is compared with one of the taught phase angles, and the corresponding taught position data is outputted to the servo system when the reference phase angle exceeds the taught phase angle.

  • Patent number: 5069833
Abstract: An injection method for making a hole in an injection molded plastic article comprising the steps of filling a mold cavity with a molten plastic and cooling the mold to effect gate seal. A first hole-making punch and a second punch, which are slidably inserted in a bore provided in the mold coinciding with the hole to be made in the article in an axial direction in which a movable mold half is opened and closed, are vibrated with high frequency after gate seal is completed to soften the solidified plastic between the two punches. The punches are then displaced with respect to the bore when the plastic is softened to make the hole. A second injection method comprises the step of making the hole in the molded article by sliding the punches during both dwelling and cooling subsequent to the completion of dwelling after filling the mold with the molten plastic and before gate seal is effected.

  • Patent number: 5056556
Abstract: A solenoid valve comprising a valve body, and a poppet vertically slidable within the valve body and moved to and from a valve seat so as to open and close an oil passage. The poppet is in the form of a cylindrical tube and is slidably fit around and supported by a guide rod in an oil-tight manner. The guide rod has a valve seat at its bottom and an oil passage for communication with the interior of the poppet. Features of the present invention are as follows. The guide rod has a surface on which the inner peripheral surface of the poppet is slidable. The outer diameter of such a surface of the guide rod is slightly smaller than that of the valve seat. In this way, the solenoid valve acts as an on-off valve and a relief valve. The valve of the type as thus far explained further includes a passage for reducing the flow velocity of an oil as pressurized between the poppet and the guide rod. A surface of the poppet is shaped to maintain an oil film between the poppet and the valve seat.

A plunger capable of bearing a load of an object to be tested at an upper end portion thereof has an oil chamber for pressurizing the plunger in such a manner as to be able to move upward and downward. An oil passage communicates with the oil chamber and with the electromagnetic valve. A vibration applying cylinder is capable of vibrating the plunger at a desired amplitude and frequency through hydraulic oil which is fed from the electromagnetic valve. A lift means lifts the vibration applying cylinder to a predetermined height. A controller capable of outputting, as a control signal, a setting signal for setting at least the amplitude and frequency of the plunger is provided. A control unit actuates the hydraulic power unit and the electromagnetic valve in accordance with the control signal.

  • Patent number: 4411479
Abstract: A double row angular contact ball bearing having a one-piece inner ring and a one-piece outer ring and containing therebetween a first row of a larger number of balls inserted in a maximum-type manner and a second row of a lesser number of balls inserted in a manner similar to the Conrad-type manner. The balls of each of the first and second rows are held by two separate cages. The raceway of the outer ring for the second row of balls is an angular contact raceway laterally open at one side, whereas the other raceway of the outer ring for the first row of balls is cut out from the bottom thereof in a substantially radially outward direction and then laterally toward an end face of the outer ring to form an inner cylinder bore surface. By such an arrangement, it is possible to insert a greater number of balls into the second row of balls than was the case in the prior art bearing of this type, resulting in increased load capacity, longer life, and improved reliability.
