Patents Assigned to Kabushiki Kaisha Hanzawa Corporation
  • Patent number: 5304088
Abstract: When an electric motor is rotated normally, a left-hand driving wheel is rotated normally by a drive gear through a large gear, a left-hand small gear, and a left-hand driven gear, and a right-hand driving wheel is also rotated normally through a right-hand small gear, a swing gear, an intermediate gear, and a right-hand driven gear, thereby causing the vehicle toy to run straight. When the electric motor is switched to a reverse rotation, the left-hand driving wheel is rotated reversely, and the swing gear is brought into engagement directly with the right-hand driven gear to rotate the right-hand driving wheel normally. As a result, the vehicle toy makes a continuous turn at a small radius of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5281184
Abstract: A steering device for an automotive vehicle toy comprises a motor to be driven by a remote control operation, a steering mechanism having a return spring for biasing steering wheels into a neutral position, and a clutch for transmitting a driving force of the electric motor to the steering mechanism against the return spring. The clutch includes a holding disc, clutch elements engageable with the holding disc such that the clutch elements can be moved in a radial direction of the holding disc by a centrifugal force, and an outer cylindrical member concentrically accommodating the holding disc and the clutch elements in it, and firmly secured to the mechanical reduction gear. A plurality of engaging groove portions are formed in the holding disc at equal spaces through a partition wall.

  • Patent number: 5052972
Abstract: A drive device for a toy automobile includes a casing open at front and rear ends thereof and covering a path of travel, a flywheel rotatably supported on the casing for coming into abutting contact with an upper surface of a toy automobile at a prescribed position on the path of travel, an operating member axially slidably supported on the casing and having a push-button portion protruding externally of the casing and urged outwardly by a return spring, a pinion turned while in mesh with a rack provided on the operating member and extending axially thereof, and a gear speed-up mechanism incorporating a one-way clutch and interposed between the pinion and the flywheel for rotating the flywheel in a direction which propels the toy automobile forward only when the operating member is pushed inward.

  • Patent number: 4857789
Abstract: A rotary-type electromagnetic actuator for a toy includes a cylindrical magnetic stator fixedly mounted within a housing, a rotor arranged concentrically within the stator and rotatably supported by a shaft within the housing, a coil wound on the rotor for causing the rotor to rotate back and forth by being energized and deenergized, a commutator fixedly secured to the shaft of the rotor for supplying current to the coil, a rotor position-correcting member turnably provided inside the housing in opposition to the commutator and in concentric relation with respect to the housing, and a pair of current feeding brushes embracing the commutator from both sides thereof, each of the current brushes having one end secured to the position-correcting member and another end in pressing contact with a respective commutator bar of the commutator. The coil is energized by dc power supplied through the brushes and commutator.

  • Patent number: 4601674
Abstract: A toy motorcycle includes a body having a light-weight frame and a light-weight hood doubling as a cowling, a drive source, which also serves as a balancing weight, disposed at a lower position than the center of gravity of the toy inside the body, a rear wheel driven by the drive source through a power transmission system, and a plurality of projections formed on the body and on a front wheel support for facilitating self-righting of the toy. When the toy falls over due to collision with an obstacle while the toy is travelling on the ground, the projections come into contact with the ground and cause the rear wheel to contact the ground. The toy is righted to resume travelling by a righting function performed by the drive source and the driving function performed by the rear wheel.
