  • Patent number: 7898195
Abstract: The present invention presents a motor drive device capable of detecting jamming accurately without falsely detecting jamming when a movable part contacts with other members. Jamming by a backrest is detected by judging whether the value of a period of one pulse P1 and a period of the next pulse P2 (P2/P1) integrated for 150 times (integrated value: 150) exceeds a specified threshold (160) or not. Accordingly, if the backrest rubs against a backrest of an adjacent seat, and the motor speed suddenly drops for a short period, such “warp” is not falsely detected as jamming, and only actual jamming can be detected securely.

  • Patent number: 7823978
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a reclining device which improves engagement between a lock gear and a gear plate for reliable locking without requiring high dimensional accuracy. Four lock gears comprising a pair of first lock gears 40, and a pair of second lock gears 50 in which a gap between the second lock gear 50 and guide protrusions 12, 13 is larger than a gap between the first lock gear 40 and guide protrusions 11, 12 are adopted. Due to elastic function of a biasing member body 90a of an biasing member 90, both the second lock gears 50 are biased radially and inwardly and toward the guide protrusion 13 of the base plate 10.

  • Patent number: 7819471
Abstract: A reclining device capable of eliminating mechanical play in a front-rear direction of a seat back is provided. Particularly, a reclining device reliably capable of locking and releasing is provided at an inexpensive cost. Movable guides are slidably disposed respectively between lock gears and a fixed guide. Each of the movable guides is formed in a shape that the width thereof gradually decreases from the outer end toward the inner end. In the sliding faces of the respective movable guides, a sliding face on the lock gear side is arranged to be parallel to a movement direction of the lock gear and the sliding face at the fixed guide side is inclined with respect to the sliding face at the side of the lock gear. Each of the movable guides engages with a spring and the spring imparts a force to the movable guides in an inner direction of a base plate.

  • Patent number: 7798574
Abstract: A vehicle seat reclining apparatus is provided in which the strength of a connecting portion positioned directly or nearly directly below a receiving wall face of a guide portion of a fixed-side housing is higher than in a conventional reclining apparatus. A protruding guide portion is provided in a fixed-side housing used to configure a reclining apparatus. A receiving wall face that makes contact with a locking gear used to configure the reclining apparatus and which thus guides movement of the locking gear, and a top face that is continuous with that receiving wall face, are formed in the guide portion. A tapered chamfer portion is present at an edge of the receiving wall face where the receiving wall face and the top face of the guide portion intersect. A thick portion with a tapered face that corresponds to the chamfer portion is provided directly or nearly directly below a base end portion of the receiving wall face.

  • Patent number: 7665704
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a seat rail apparatus, which is capable of locking/unlocking forward/backward sliding of a seat for vehicle in a stepless manner with a simple structure, at an inexpensive cost. A brake disk 51 is attached to the front end of a slide screw 5, which is screwed with a nut 4 disposed within a lower rail 2 and an upper rail 3. A lock mechanism 6 comprises rollers 63 and 64, springs 65 for imparting a force to the rollers in the peripheral direction and a supporting member 61 disposed with the rollers and the springs therein. The springs 65 impart a force to the brake disk 51 and the supporting member 61 to bring the rollers 63 and 64 into a friction engagement; thus the rotation of the slide screw 5 can be locked. Owing to first and second engagement plates 81 and 82, the rollers 63 and 64 are caused to roll against the force imparted by the springs 65, and are released from the friction engagement; thus the slide screw 5 can be unlocked.

  • Patent number: 7631907
Abstract: The present invention realizes a locking device for vehicle free from the occurrence of rattle at the portion where the striker is locked. When a lock plate 5 and a latch plate 4 are brought into a locked state and a latch-side recessed portion 4d of the latch plate 4 is engaged with a striker 20, a plate pressing cam 7 rotates clockwise by a restoring force by a coil spring 12, so that its depressing-side cam portion 7e depresses a tip end 6c of a rattle-removing plate 6. A rattle removing-side recessed portion 6d of the rattle-removing plate 6 engages with the peripheral surface of the striker 20, to suppress the rattle of the striker 20. Since the rattle removing-side recessed portion 6d is formed into the shape that matches the peripheral surface of the striker 20, occurrence of rattle can be strictly suppressed.
