Abstract: When a user specifies a road that he/she wants to pass through, a guiding route generation device generates a guiding route that passes through the specified road up to a destination. A guiding route (37) generated based on waypoints specified is stored in a storage means (15) of the guiding route generation device. A display means (11) displays the guiding route (37) along with roads in the periphery. The guiding route generation device specifies a certain road as the specified pass-through road from among the roads displayed along with the guiding route (37), and further, finds and determines whether there are crossings and the number of the crossings between the specified pass-through road and the guiding route (37). When there is no crossing, the guiding route generation device generates two routes between the specified pass-through road and the guiding route (37) and extends the specified pass-through road to generate a user-specified road.

  • Publication number: 20080123791
Abstract: Both a pre-word (PW) and a sync word (SW) are used to establish a synchronization or only the sync word (SW) is used to establish a synchronization in accordance with an operational status related to the synchronization in a mobile wireless communication apparatus. For example, during an initial synchronization with a control channel (110) being received, both the pre-word (PW) and the sync word (SW) are used to establish a synchronization when a calculation result in a synchronization calculating part exceeds a predetermined threshold value only once. During an initial synchronization with a direct communication channel (112) being received, both the pre-word (PW) and the sync word (SW) are used to establish a synchronization when the calculation result exceeds the predetermined threshold value once; or alternatively, only the sync word (SW) is used to establish a synchronization when the calculation result successively exceeds the predetermined threshold value twice.

  • Publication number: 20080109225
Abstract: A speech piece editing section (5) retrieves speech piece data on a speech piece the read of which matches that of a speech piece in a fixed message from a speech piece database (7) and converts the speech piece so as to match the speed specified by utterance speed data. The speech piece editing section (5) predicts the prosody of a fixed message and selects an item of the retrieved speech piece data most matching each speech piece of the fixed message one by one according to the prosody prediction results. However, if the proportion of the speech piece corresponding to the selected item of the speech piece data does not reach a predetermined value, the selection is cancelled. Concerning the speech piece for which selection is not made, waveform data representing the waveform of each unit speech is supplied to a sound processing section (41). The selected speech piece data and the supplied waveform data are interconnected thereby to create data representing a synthesized speech.

  • Publication number: 20080101309
Abstract: When no messages are existent which must be notified to a mobile transmitting/receiving apparatus (102), a carrier signal of non-modulation is outputted in an area of control information of transport data having a frame structure. As a specific example, an FSK modulator (16) causes a transmitting circuit (17) to output a carrier signal of non-modulation from a line control apparatus (101) in correspondence with the area for control information in which non-modulation data is set by a frame data processing unit (15), while causing a modulated wave signal as four-level FSK modulated to be outputted in the areas other than the non-modulation data area. When non-modulation data is set in the area for control information, function channel identification information in the same frame is set as non-modulation identification data, thereby avoiding any unstable operation in the mobile transmitting/receiving apparatus (102) at the receiving end.

  • Publication number: 20080103764
Abstract: When a sound presence/absence detector (12) detects a sound absence interval, a non-modulated carrier signal is outputted in an area used to transmit speech data that are included in transmission data having a frame structure and that correspond to the sound absence interval. That is, an FSK modulator (14) causes a transmitting circuit (15) to output the non-modulated carrier signal from a wireless communication apparatus (100) in the area used to transmit the speech data corresponding to the sound absence interval. In the meantime, a four-level FSK modulated wave signal is outputted in the areas other than the one of the sound absence interval. A non-modulation discriminating data for allowing the sound absence interval to be determined are included in an area of channel identifying information included in the transmission data having the frame structure, and allow a communication terminal apparatus at the receiving end to avoid any unstable operations.

  • Patent number: 7318034
Abstract: A voice signal interpolation apparatus is provided which can restore original human voices from human voices in a compressed state while maintaining a high sound quality. When a voice signal representative of a voice to be interpolated is acquired by a voice data input unit 1, a pitch deriving unit 2 filters this voice signal to identify a pitch length from the filtering result. A pitch length fixing unit 3 makes the voice signal have a constant time length of a section corresponding to a unit pitch, and generates pitch waveform data. A sub-band dividing unit 4 converts the pitch waveform data into sub-band data representative of a spectrum. A plurality of sub-band data pieces are averaged by an averaging unit 5 and thereafter a sub-band synthesizing unit 6 converts the sub-band data pieces into a signal representative of a waveform of the voice by a sub-band synthesizing unit 6.
