The collected tissue cutting position-specifying tool has a tissue cutting portion-specifying member having a cutting portion-specifying open portion flat plate-shaped and having a predetermined width and a locking portion for locking an advance of a cutter provided on a lower surface of the tissue cutting portion-specifying member; and an open 1Q portion-pressing member which can be pressed against an upper surface of the tissue cutting portion-specifying member in such a way that the open portion-pressing member covers the cutting portion-specifying open portion.

Abstract: An egg freezing and storing instrument has an egg freezing and storing tube made of a liquid nitrogen-resistant material; and a metal cylindrical protection member for protecting the tube. The tube has a body part; and an egg-storing small-diameter part having an inner diameter of 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. The tube can be heat-sealed at a front side of the small-diameter part and at a rear side of the body part. The cylindrical protection member has a tubular part for accommodating a front side of the small-diameter part of the tube; and a semi-tubular part for accommodating a portion of the small-diameter part not accommodated in the tubular part and a front portion of the body part.

Abstract: A diagnostic kit for evaluating the progress of an HIV-1-related disease and/or the efficacy of an anti-HIV-1 treatment using the quantity of an HIV-1 RNA-DNA hybrid in a sample as an indicator, comprising: at least one primer pair consisting of a downstream primer having a sequence complementary to a portion of the nucleotide sequence of the constituent RNA of the HIV-1 RNA-DNA hybrid and an upstream primer having a sequence complementary to a portion of the nucleotide sequence of the constituent DNA of the HIV-1 RNA-DNA hybrid; and restriction enzyme by which double-stranded DNA containing the same nucleotide sequence as DNA extended by the primer pair can be cleaved at any specific site in the nucleotide sequence.

Abstract: A centrifugal settling tube (1) including a bottomed tube (2), an inner tube (3) constituted of a tube body (31) that is insertable into the bottomed tube (2) and open at distal and proximal ends thereof and of a ring-like elastic member (32) provided on an outer surface of the distal portion of the tube body (31), a sealing member (4) capable of sealing a rear end opening of the inner tube (3), and a fixing member (5) for removably fixing the inner tube (3) to the bottomed tube (2). A distal end of the inner tube (3) is spaced at a predetermined interval from a distal end of the bottomed tube (2), with the inner tube (3) inserted in the bottomed tube (2). Abstract: A transparent heating plate and transparent heating device for examination of specimens under a microscope can heat the entire transparent conductive film between electrodes of the transparent heating plate with a small difference in temperature. The transparent heating plate can also heat the vicinity of the center of the transparent heating plate used for examination at substantially a uniform temperature regardless of the shape of the transparent heating plate or the structure of the transparent heating plate. The transparent heating plate may also prevent electromagnetic waves generated from the transparent heating plate from flowing into objects put on the outer side of the transparent heating plate. A further embodiment of a transparent heating plate prevents scattering of broken pieces of glass should the transparent heating plate break.
