  • Patent number: 7273029
Abstract: A cast iron cylinder liner of the present invention includes a plurality of grooves formed on an outer surface of the cylinder liner. Each of the grooves extends in a circumferential direction of the cylinder liner in a ring or spiral shape, and the grooves divide the outer surface of the cylinder liner into a plurality of ring or spiral sections. The outer surfaces of the ring sections have a uniform distance from the central axis of the cylinder liner over the entire area of the outer surfaces, and the grooves being arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of the cylinder liner in an axial direction thereof. Each of the grooves has a J-shaped longitudinal cross-section including a first inclination part and a groove bottom part. The first inclination part extends from the outer surface of one of the ring sections or of one turn of the spiral sections toward the center of the cylinder liner in an axial direction thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050283275
Abstract: The method of teaching an articulated robot is capable of rapidly and precisely teaching a moving track of the articulated robot. The method of teaching the articulated robot, in which a front end of the robot is moved to prescribed positions to teach the moving track, comprises the step of controlling motions of articulations of the robot so as to move the front end along axes of a coordinate system, wherein moving distances of the front end correspond to number of pulses inputted by a manual pulse generator.

  • Patent number: 6682407
Abstract: The work-piece-processing machine of the present invention is compact and has two tools for precisely processing a work-piece. In the work-piece-processing machine, the work-piece is processed by a first tool and a second tool. Diameter of the second tool is shorter than that of the first tool. A first motor rotates the first tool. A second motor rotates the second tool. The first motor and the second motor are attached to a rotatable member. A rotating unit rotates the rotatable member in a vertical plane.

  • Patent number: 6585561
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method of teaching a position, in which greater loads are not applied to a workpiece, a machining tool and a mechanism for moving the workpiece. The method is characterized by the steps of: driving the motors with detecting exciting currents so as to move the workpiece from a position short of an object position to the object position; making the workpiece contact with the machining tool corresponding to the object position; temporally turning off the exciting currents of the all motors if at least one of the exciting currents is greater than a predetermined value; and storing a position of the workpiece as the object position if counter forces, which work from the machining tool to the arms and the motors, and frictional forces, which are generated in the arms and the motors, are balanced when the exciting currents are turned off and the workpiece is made contact with the machining tool.

  • Patent number: 6298818
Abstract: The cylinder liner is capable of being tightly adhered to an aluminium block. The cylinder liner is made of cast iron and formed into a cylindrical shape. In the cylinder liner, slender section is provided in a middle portion, and outer diameter of the cylinder liner is gradually made greater toward both end sections from the slender section. A plurality of projected lines are formed on an outer circumferential face of the cylinder liner with regular separations and extended in the axial direction thereof. With this structure, the cylinder liner can securely stay in a cylinder block even if an external force in the axial direction works to the cylinder liner. In the cylinder block of the present invention, a plurality of the cylinder liners are enclosed with casted aluminium.

  • Patent number: 5044124
Abstract: The present invention provides a finishing machine for casted products, which can uniformly remove fins on circumferential side faces, upper face, etc. of casted products by correcting amount of abrasion of a rotary grindstone. Therefore, the finishing machine for casted products has means for detecting the amount of abrasion of the rotary grindstone and means for correcting which adds the amount of abrasion of the rotary grindstone to the amount of travel of the rotary grindstone and a work.
