  • Patent number: 6708726
Abstract: A first pipe, a second pipe and a third pipe are airtightly connected with each other. A cam member rotates about a rotation axis for moving a valve body so as to open/close the first pipe and the second pipe so that the third pipe is selectively communicated with the first pipe and the second pipe, the cam member being movable in a direction parallel with the rotation axis. A cam actuator drives the cam member so as to move the cam member in the direction parallel with the rotation axis to open both of the first pipe and the second pipe, when the cam member is rotated at a predetermined angle.

  • Patent number: 6226254
Abstract: In a disk drive mechanism 1 in which disk 5 is placed on a turn table 4 which is mounted on the rotary shaft 3 of an electric motor 2, and the rotary shaft 3 of the electric motor 2 is turned to turn the disk 5 with the aid of the turn table 4, the turn table 4 includes a rotary shaft section 6 secured to the rotary shaft 3 of the motor 2, a placing section 7 on which a disk 5 is placed, and an elastic coupling section 8 which couples the rotary shaft section 6 and the placing section 7 to each other so that the placing section 7 is radially movable with respect to the rotary shaft section 6. And the rotary shaft 3 has a regulating member 9 which regulates the displacement of the placing section 7 of the turn table.

  • Patent number: 6216056
Abstract: With an operation handle arranged in the neighborhood of e.g. a microscope for operation as an appliance to be supported attached to the tip of plural arms rotatably coupled with one another, the operation force applied to the operation handle is detected as a signal in directions of plural axes by a force/torque sensor, the detected force/torque information in each of the directions of the plural axes is impedance-control and track-control to compute an operation command for each joint in the plural arms, and on the basis of the operation command for each joint, the plural arms are moved in the direction of the operation force.

  • Patent number: 6208047
Abstract: A motor incorporates a rotor 21 incorporating a cylindrical magnet 24 which has segments magnetized at predetermined pitches in a circumferential direction thereof; and a stator 25 for imparting a rotating magnetic field to the magnet 24 so as to rotate the rotor 21. Each of the magnetized segments is magnetized such that the inner portion and the outer portion are magnetized to different polarities and the magnetized segments disposed at adjacent pitches are magnetized to opposite polarities. The stator 25 incorporates a first polar tooth row and a second polar tooth row each of which is constituted by polar teeth corresponding to the predetermined pitches of the magnetized segments such that the polar teeth disposed opposite to the magnetized segments across the magnet are magnetize to different polarities, and the polarities of the first polar tooth row and the second polar tooth row are switched so that a rotating magnetic field is imparted to the cylindrical magnet 24.

  • Patent number: 6163520
Abstract: A disc chucking mechanism includes a turn table 3 on which a disc 19 with a center hole 20 is located, a chucking magnet 10 for magnetically attracting a center hub 21 of the disc 19 to it, and a magnet yoke 60. The magnet yoke 60 includes a ring-like member which is inserted between the turn table 3 and the chucking magnet 10, engaging portions 62 which are extended from the ring-like member of the magnet yoke toward the turn table 3, and brought into engagement with the turn table, and magnet engaging portions 61 which are extended in the direction opposite to the bending direction of the engaging portions 62, and urgingly fix the chucking magnet 10.

  • Patent number: 4631610
Abstract: A magnetic head supporting mechanism for a card reader or the like allows the heads to "float," that is, to move in a direction normal to the surface of the card to compensate for warp or irregular curvature of the card while maintaining good contact between the head and the magnetic recording media.

  • Patent number: 4483167
Abstract: A complementary pair of top and bottom rolls for the initial breakdown step of a skelp in the manufacture of welded tubular products by rolling. The bottom roll has a convex midportion, a pair of concave end portions, and a pair of straight border portions each lying between the midportion and one of the concave end portions. The top roll is shaped in complementary relation to the bottom roll to define therebetween a path for the skelp. The breakdown roll pair of the above configuration makes it possible to curl the opposite edge portions of the skelp into arcs of a desired radius without the usual defects of rolling, and in such a way that the skelp can be subsequently rounded and have its edges welded together into a tube of minimal out-of-roundness.

  • Patent number: 4455855
Abstract: Forming rolls of a tube-producing apparatus comprise an upper roll having two identical roll parts supported at spaced-apart positions on a roll shaft, each roll part having a rounded outer circumferential working surface which, as viewed in section taken along a plane passing through the rotational axis of the roll, has a rounded convex profile shape of mutually different inner and outer radii of curvature on inner and outer sides of the profile centerline perpendicular to the axis, the working surface portion of the outer radius operating cooperatively with the outer portion of a lower roll to form the lateral portion of a strip metal plate passed therebetween. Each upper roll part can be turned around in orientation on the roll shaft to place the working surface of the originally inner radius on the outer side, thereby changing the gap between the upper and lower rolls to suit the wall thickness of the tube being produced.

  • Patent number: 4377895
Abstract: A method and apparatus for manufacturing double-gear trains in which gears of double-gear trains are molded already in engagement with one another. Upper and lower gear molding cavities are formed in upper and lower molds between which is sandwiched an intermediate mold. Apertures are formed in the intermediate mold for molding shafts which join gear pairs. Thin wall dividing portions are provided between adjacent gears which are molded in engagement with one another. A molten resin introducing cavity is formed between an outer mold and the upper mold. Coupling pieces may also be molded simultaneously with the formation of the double-gear train.
