    Abstract: A dispersion/stirring apparatus that is capable of micronizing gas dispersed and stirred into a liquid in a tank without requiring a separate pump or a stirring device is provided. The rotation unit is provided with a flow path that opens at an inner diameter side as well as an outer diameter side of the rotation unit. The flow path is provided with a flow path expansion portion at which the flow path expands in the direction towards the outer diameter side of the rotation unit. The flow path expansion portion of the rotation unit has an effect similar to that of a Venturi tube and thereby enables micronization of a gas. Rotation of the rotation unit produces a pump effect and a stirring effect, thereby eliminating the need of providing a separate pump or stirring device.

    Abstract: Reinforcing rings are provided around the cylindrical outer surface of a stator can of a canned motor, near the front and rear ends of a stator of the canned motor respectively. An axial position detecting coil A is wound around the cylindrical outer surface of at least one of the reinforcing rings. The axial position of a rotor is detected by an inductance of the axial position detecting coil A. The axial position detecting coil A is installed by winding a coil around at least one of the reinforcing rings. The invention reduces the influence exerted by change in the radial position of the rotor on the output to the axial position detecting coil A to a negligible level and enables detection of the axial position of the rotor and axial zero adjustment without the necessity of considering change in the radial position of the rotor.

    Abstract: Axial bearing wear in a motor is determined by differencing signals from special coils in the two ends of the motor stator. The signals on the two coils vary in opposite directions with axial displacement of the motor rotor. A dead zone circuit suppresses output when the axial displacement of the rotor is within the normal range of play for the rotor of the particular motor. When the axial displacement exceeds the normal range, the output actuates an indicator in relation to the magnitude of the displacement in excess of the normal range. Sequential LED indicators indicate both magnitude and direction of excess displacement. An analog meter is also disclosed which indicates only the magnitude of the excess displacement.

    Abstract: A liquefied gas transfer apparatus having a recirculation passage for recirculating the liquefied gas sucked into a glandless pump back into the closed tank, and a device for changing the speed of the pump driving motor by suitable measures such as pole change, Y-.DELTA. switching, frequency control, primary voltage control or the like. In operation, the pump is driven at a high speed during the transfer of the liquefied gas from the tank to the containers or the like, whereas, in the period in which the transfer of the gas in not necessary, the pump is continuously operated at a low speed while recirculating the liquefied gas through the recirculation passage, thereby to prevent the evaporation of the liquefied gas in the pump to ensure smooth and safe intermittent operation of the pump, as well as prolonged life of the bearing.

    Abstract: Apparatus for detecting possible changes or variations in the dimension of an air gap of a running electric rotary machine during operation thereof. Detector coils are each accommodated within respective slots formed in the stator core of the machine, the coils being geometrically separated from one another at an angular distance corresponding to the distance between poles or its integral multiple. The detector coils are electrically connected in series with each other to produce a voltage for detection. The detector coils are so connected that the fundamental waves of the voltages induced in two detector coils will cancel each other and a synthesized value of higher harmonics induced in both detector coils is picked up as the detection voltage signal. The number of slots of the rotor of the electric rotary machine is predetermined to a limited number in order to get a detection signal of higher quality.
