Abstract: At a shift lever device, at a time when a lever is rotated in a left-right direction, a joint of the lever moves a joint tube of a link in an up-down direction. Moreover, at a time when the lever is rotated in a front-rear direction, a link operating portion of the lever rotates an operation tube of the link in the front-rear direction around the joint side. Here, at the time when the lever is rotated in the left-right direction, the joint is moved in the left-right direction with respect to the joint tube. Therefore, the need to provide parts between the lever and the joint can be eliminated, and a number of parts can be reduced.
Abstract: A webbing take-up device is provided with (i) a spool and (ii) a rotor rotatable integrally with the spool having a base portion and radially-extending engaging teeth. A webbing to be applied to a vehicle occupant is wound around the spool. Each engaging tooth protrudes from the base portion in a rotation axis direction of the spool, and is tapered along the rotation axis direction such that a thickness dimension in a rotation circumference direction of the spool of a portion of the engaging tooth at the opposite side thereof from the base portion becomes smaller toward the base portion side thereof. The axially-tapered shape of the engaging teeth reduces stresses and improves transmission efficiency between the rotor teeth and the teeth of a moving member engaged thereto.
Abstract: A vehicle operation authorization system includes a server that receives identification information, which identifies a first portable electronic device that is used as an electronic key for a vehicle, from the first portable electronic device, verifies the identification information, and transmits an operation permission signal to the vehicle to permit a vehicle operation in accordance with a request from the first portable electronic device. A key registration unit registers an encryption key, which is provided from the server, to the first portable electronic device. An access authorization unit uses the encryption key, which is registered in the first portable electronic device, to grant access authorization for accessing the server to a second portable electronic device so that the second portable electronic device functions as the electronic key authorized to operate the vehicle.
