  • Patent number: 8845001
Abstract: A push lifter is provided with a push-push mechanism. When a charger lid is positioned in a closed position to close a battery charging opening, the push-push mechanism holds a push rod in a standby state. When the charger lid, which is positioned in the closed position, is pressed so that the standby state of the push rod is cancelled, the push-push mechanism pushes the push rod with the urging force of a coil spring so that the charger lid opens. An illumination lamp turns off when a switch portion turns off due to the standby state of the push rod, and the lamp turns on when the switch portion turns on due to the standby state of the push rod being cancelled.

  • Patent number: 7942361
Abstract: A webbing retracting device that may prevent entering of an end-lock state when a spool rotates in the pull out direction on rebound just after completion of taking up of the webbing belt. A restriction weight is provided on a V gear. The restriction weight moves in the pull out direction relative to the V gear by acceleration when the V gear is rotated in the take up direction, and furthermore, the restriction weight pivots about a support pin under centrifugal force due to rotation of the V gear and attains a contact position. In such a state, even if the inertial mass attempts to displace toward the lock activation direction, the restriction weight interferes with the inertial mass and restricts displacement of the inertial mass toward the lock activation direction.

  • Patent number: 6707379
Abstract: A shift device that enables optimally operation. The shift device is provided in a vehicle including a transmission and shifts a shift range of the transmission. The shift device includes a shift operation unit, a controller, and a light emitting device. The shift operation unit is connected to the transmission of the vehicle and shifts the shift range of the transmission. The controller determines whether the shift range of the transmission should be shifted in accordance with a driving environment and generates a shift instruction signal when determining that the shift range of the transmission should be shifted. The light emitting device gives a notification for operation of the shift operation unit in accordance with the shift instruction signal.

  • Patent number: 4657362
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a door mirror for use in a motor vehicle having a door mirror positioning device for controlling the attitude of the mirror visor with respect to the door from the interior of the motor vehicle through remote control. The device includes a first switching arrangement for selectively driving an electrical motor accommodated in the visor in a desired rotational direction to move the visor to an opened (projected) or closed (retracted) position from the closed or opened position, and a second switching arrangement for stopping automatically the rotation of the motor at a time when the visor reaches one of the opened and closed positions, whereby the operation of the device can be facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4556177
Abstract: A lock-type seat belt retractor including a ratchet mechanism, an inertia member which senses shock to the automobile, and a transmitting mechanism which transmits a movement of the inertia member to a pawl of the ratchet mechanism. The inertia member senses the shock by its relative motion to the transmitting mechanism. The transmitting mechanism includes a rod which moves in response to movement of the inertia member and pushes up a lever to raise the pawl. When the pawl engages with a tooth of a ratchet wheel, the seat belt is locked. The transmitting mechanism further includes a member which supports the rod and the inertia member. The support member swings relative to the automobile body so that this retractor can be locked reliably regardless of its angular position.

  • Patent number: 4447017
Abstract: A main shaft is threadably coupled to a base mounted on a vehicle body, and this main shaft is biased by a spring in the axial direction thereof. However, the main shaft is prevented from rotating by an arm tiltably supported on the main shaft being engaged with a stopper provided on the base. In an emergency of a vehicle, an acceleration sensor turns the arm to slip off the stopper to make the main shaft rotatable, whereby the main shaft rotatingly moves in the axial direction thereof. This moving force is transmitted to the webbing, whereby the webbing is retracted, so that the webbing can be closely fastened to an occupant.

  • Patent number: 3939313
Abstract: A rotary switch of sliding contact type for use in a torque converter of an automotive vehicle comprises a base in the surface of which a plurality of stationary contact plates are molded, a cover plate for the base plate suitably secured to the latter with a space for movably enclosing a rotary contact arm between the cover plate and the base plate, and a rotatable shaft fixedly received in the hub of the rotary contact arm. The hub is rotatably held between edges of corresponding openings formed in the base plate and the cover plate, so that, upon rotation of the shaft, contacts of the rotary contact arm slide across the stationary contact plates and can be stopped at positions precisely corresponding to predetermined angles of rotation of the shaft.
