  • Publication number: 20200295403
Abstract: According to one embodiment, there is provided a secondary battery including a negative electrode, a positive electrode, a first electrolyte, a second electrolyte, and a hydrogel electrolyte. The first electrolyte is in contact with at least a part of the negative electrode. The second electrolyte is in contact with at least a part of the positive electrode. The hydrogel electrolyte includes a gel having a chemically crosslinked structure. A first electrolyte composition of the first electrolyte is different from a second electrolyte composition of the second electrolyte. At least one of the first electrolyte and the second electrolyte includes an aqueous solvent, the aqueous solvent including water. At least a part of at least one of the negative electrode and the positive electrode overlaps at least a part of the hydrogel electrolyte.

  • Patent number: 8313861
Abstract: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a negative electrode including a current collector and a negative electrode active material having a Li ion insertion potential not lower than 0.4V (vs. Li/Li+). The negative electrode has a porous structure. A pore diameter distribution of the negative electrode as determined by a mercury porosimetry, which includes a first peak having a mode diameter of 0.01 to 0.2 ?m, and a second peak having a mode diameter of 0.003 to 0.02 ?m. A volume of pores having a diameter of 0.01 to 0.2 ?m as determined by the mercury porosimetry is 0.05 to 0.5 mL per gram of the negative electrode excluding the weight of the current collector. A volume of pores having a diameter of 0.003 to 0.02 ?m as determined by the mercury porosimetry is 0.0001 to 0.02 mL per gram of the negative electrode excluding the weight of the current collector.

  • Patent number: 6101054
Abstract: A read channel for use in a disk drive having an MR head. The read channel comprises a compensation device which has a high-pass filter (HPF) for compensating a thermal asperity (TA). The read channel suppresses level changes of a data signal which have resulted from TA disturbance present in the data signal. The read channel has a switch circuit connected to the input of the HPF, for canceling the DC undershoot present in the data signal. The switch circuit maintains the DC level of the data signal at zero level while a thermal asperity is being detected in the data signal.

  • Patent number: 4832455
Abstract: A liquid crystal apparatus in which an anisotropic conductive layer made of organic resin containing several electrically conductive particles having substantially identical particle sizes is disposed between lead electrodes of a liquid crystal device and the lead electrodes of a drive circuit board, thermocompression bonding being applied to make the electrically conductive particles in direct contact with both lead electrodes to allow both lead electrodes to be electrically connected with each other. Further, at least one of the lead electrodes of a common electrode in the liquid crystal device and of the circuit board corresponding to the common electrode includes a number of separated electrodes that are spaced apart, and the pitches and widths of the separated electrodes are in the range of .+-.30% around the average values for pitch and width for the separated electrodes.
