  • Patent number: 4847790
Abstract: In a pressure-controlling apparatus employed in a pre-chamber of an environmental testing chamber for a self-propelled vehicle, in which testing chamber various tests are conducted under a subatmospheric pressure, which testing chamber is provided with the pre-chamber for permitting an opertor's getting in/out of the testing chamber, the improvement resides in that: operational switch means provided in the pre-chamber permit the operator to open/close a first and a second opening/closing valves, which first opening/closing valve is provided in a first air-duct which opens into open air at one end and into said pre-chamber at the other end for recovering an air-pressure of the pre-chamber, which second opening/closing valve is provided in a second air-duct which opens into the testing chamber at one end and into the pre-chamber at the other end for reducing the air-pressure of the pre-chamber.

  • Patent number: 4794804
Abstract: A salt damage environmental testing chamber for self-propelled vehicles which is provided with a salt water spraying system, is disclosed. According to the present invention, a protective cover that may be opened and closed by a cover opening and closing device is provided in the vicinity of a humidty sensor provided in turn in the test chamber. The cover opening and closing device is actuated at the time of spraying of salt water into the test chamber to close the protective cover so that the humdity sensor is covered by the protective cover.

  • Patent number: 4751844
Abstract: An adjustable constant temperature and humidity control device for self-propelled vehicles is disclosed. According to the invention, the control device includes a duct system providing a circulating air channel for conducting the air contained in the testing chamber out of the testing chamber and again conducting the air into the chamber. The duct has arranged therein an air blower, a humidifier and an air conditioning unit adapted for performing a sensible heat exchange operation. The device also includes a dehumidifier mounted outside of the testing chamber and designed for introducing the air from the testing chambers as to free the air of its water contents and return the dehumidified air into the chamber and a supply pipe for supplying a thermal medium from a reservoir by a pump into the air conditioning unit, wherein the thermal medium has been supplied from a refrigerater into said reservoir as cold water.

  • Patent number: 4750355
Abstract: In conducting an environmental test of a vehicle, the vehicle is housed in the testing chamber and in which the vehicle is subjected to test simulating external environmental various conditions. In such test, it is often required to keep the vehicle stationary while varying a temperature and a humidity of the testing chamber. In such a case, the testing chamber provided with a by-pass air duct at a position near a ceiling portion of the testing chamber enables the vehicle being tested to be prevented from being subjected to an air flow caused by air-conditioning operation of the testing chamber, which improves a test in accuracy in case that the test must be conducted at a desired temperature/humidity condition.

  • Patent number: 4245483
Abstract: A system for use with a freezing liquid (refrigerant) spray refrigerator for foods, in order to purify the refrigerant contaminated with solid filth such as a scale of a fish, dust or the like. Removal of such solid filth from the refrigerant for purification and re-use of the purified refrigerant can be carried out by an arrangement, wherein the refrigerant once sprayed onto the foods for refrigeration and contaminated with solid filth such as a scale of a fish, dust or the like will be conveyed to a filter for separating the solid filth from the refrigerant contaminated with the solid filth; the refrigerant so treated will then be conveyed to a heater in order to heat the refrigerant thereby to flocculate a fat, blood or the like of the foods still remaining in the refrigerant; the refrigerant will further be conveyed to a filter to remove the coagulum; and the refrigerant so purified will finally be conveyed to a reservoir tank for re-use.
