Patent number: 4856487Abstract: A gas flow rate control system for controlling the flow rate of blow-by gas to be recirculated back to the combustion chamber in an internal combustion engine. The gas flow rate control system comprises a PCV valve disposed in a gas flow passage through which blow-by gas flows in the direction of the engine combustion chamber. A bypass passage is formed in such a manner as to connect the upstream side and the downstream side of the flow control section of the control valve in the gas flow passage. A bypass control valve is disposed in the bypass passage to control the flow of blow-by gas through the bypass passage in response to an engine operating parameter such as intake manifold vacuum, thereby compensating the control characteristics of the PCV valve in order to achieve precise control of the amount of recirculated blow-by gas in accordance with engine operating conditions.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1986Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventor: Katsuji Furuya

Patent number: 4774000Abstract: A precision filter for accomplishing filtering of precision of submicron order. A filter element of the filter consists of a plurality of superposed disc-shaped annular support members for filter membranes. Each support member has a radially outwardly extending intermediate section located between an annular boss section and an outer frame section. The intermediate section is formed on its upper and lower sides with a plurality of gently winding elongate ridges and largely winding elongate ridges. Each largely winding elongate ridge extends from the boss section to the outer frame section, but each gently winding elongate ridge located between the two largely winding elongate ridges is separate from the boss section thereby to form two elongate winding grooves which are joined and continuous to a central opening of the boss section.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1986Date of Patent: September 27, 1988Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya Seisakusho, Nitto Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takeshi Kawai, Takashi Yamagishi, Mitsuhiro Mega

Patent number: 4710297Abstract: An air filter element consists of an annularly arranged pleated filter medium having a plurality of radially extending pleats. Two sides or legs of each pleat are bonded to each other at the outer peripheral side to form an outer bonded section while one sides or legs of the adjacent pleats are bonded to each other at the inner peripheral side to form an inner bonded section, thereby forming a fluid path extending between the adjacent pleats along the length of each pleat. Additionally, outer and inner resilient seal members are so provided that a part of each outer bonded section is embedded in the outer seal member while a part of each inner bonded section is embedded in the inner sealing member.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1986Date of Patent: December 1, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventors: Mitsutoshi Suzuki, Yoshitaka Morita, Masami Okada, Jun Shimohara

Patent number: 4708199Abstract: A heat exchange element of a plate type heat exchanger consists of a plurality of heat transmission plates having an equivalent shape. Each heat transmission plate is formed with flanged through-holes and openings so that each flanged through-hole and each opening are alternately located and separate from each other by a predetermined peripheral distance along a circle of the heat transmission plate. The heat transmission plates are disposed one upon another and sealingly secured to each other in such a manner that one of adjacent heat transmission plates is shifted the predetermined peripheral distance along the circle relative to the other heat transmission plate, thereby enabling to produce the heat exchanger heat exchange element by using only the heat transmission plates of the equivalent shape.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1986Date of Patent: November 24, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventors: Takeji Yogo, Akitsuna Nakagaki, Akio Miyazawa, Takeshi Mitomo, Takayuki Ichihara

Patent number: 4669532Abstract: A heat exchanger for exchanging heat between engine lubricating oil and engine coolant comprises a heat exchange element made up of a plurality of stacked and spaced plate type heat exchange units. The heat exchange units are provided with successive flow openings through which the oil introduced from an inlet opening flows. A bypass valve is provided to control the flow of the oil passing through a bypass opening which is in communication with the flow openings of the heat exchange units. The bypass valve is of the oil temperature responsive type and adapted to open the bypass opening at oil temperatures below a predetermined level, thereby bypassing much of the oil in the heat exchange units when oil temperature is so low that cooling of the oil is unnecessary.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1984Date of Patent: June 2, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventors: Masahiro Tejima, Yoshimitsu Nojima

Patent number: 4653581Abstract: A plate type heat exchanger consists of a plurality of heat transmission plates which are piled up and secured to each other. Side wall members are interposed between the adjacent heat transmission plates, so that multiple stages of spaces are formed in the heat exchanger. Additionally, separator wall members are interposed between the adjacent heat transmission plates in such a manner that two fluid paths are defined in alternate stages of the spaces. The side wall members and the separator members are formed of rod material, thereby rendering the heat exchanger light in weight while lowering the production cost of the heat exchanger.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1985Date of Patent: March 31, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventors: Takeji Yogo, Akitsuna Nakagaki, Akio Miyazawa

Patent number: 4627406Abstract: An oil separator element is housed in a casing of an oil separator and consists of alternatively aligned perforated plates and plate type filter members. Adjacent perforated plates are respectively formed with perforated sections which are located opposite to each other relative to an imaginery vertical plane containing a casing longitudinal axis. A space between neighboring perforated plate and filter member is larger on the downstream side than that on the upstream side. Additionally, each filter member is formed of a three dimensional porous material having an inner structure by which oil mist can effectively coalesce.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1984Date of Patent: December 9, 1986Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tsuchiya SeisakushoInventors: Kyoji Namiki, Shunji Abe, Shigeki Yamashita, Yukio Kashiwaba
